    The part at the end where Mark slides up on “but I know I..... should have died there”, followed by Jay’s “wooo”, and then the finish with Tim’s slide gives me chills every time. A great gospel moment.

    I first saw Mark in 1980 with the Cathedrals. After all these years...Kingsmen, Cats, Greater Vision, Gold City, Mark Trammel Qt, his voice is still amazing...his love for JESUS is the real thing! Not many others have ever communicated the message like he has. Love you, my Christian brother!

    That ending! My goodness that ending!!! You make or break a song by how you end it, and on this song it just doesn't get any better! The way that Tim slides down and nails that note is absolutely awesome! It sends chills throughout my whole body! You feel it!
    Such a powerful song and a very powerful rendition! One of my all-time favorites!

    Mark Trammell is the best baritone to ever sing Southern Gospel music. His blend and range is unmatched. This quartet is the best to ever sing closely followed by the Cathedrals with Funderburk and Trammell. Always wondered why GC never did a reunion with Riley, Mike Lefevre, Mark Trammell, Jonathan Wilburn, Ivan Parker, Jay Parrack and Brian Free?

    I love this line up of Gold City. They had such a way of blending in together. Their love for God is awesome as shown here. Mark and Tim are 2 of the very best out there. I love their word of testimony and preaching. Mark has a way of preaching with power and anointment. This has been such a blessing to me seeing this video.

      I wondered that myself. Looks like her and I’m pretty sure that’s LaResa Trammell next to her.

    Right around 7:30, I've been trying to figure out what the lyric is.... "...by those precious nails of...." what? Can anyone tell me? I can't find the lyrics anywhere.

    • @sgmad1167

      I think it's "nails of praise." I'll try to check my songbooks for confirmation.

      @@sgmad1167 Thank you! I had sort of settled on "nails of grace" but that could make sense as well. By the way, if you have a songbook with actual music notes in it for this song, would it be possible for you to scan that and send it to me? It's impossible to find this music in any sheet music anywhere. If you can, I'll post an e-mail you can send it to. Thanks again!

      You were right. It's grace which makes more sense. I had listened to the version with LeFevre on here, and it sure sounded like praise. Lol. What's your email?

    Who was the Lead Singer in that group and where is he now?

      @herecalico  9 лет назад +2

      If you mean the guy featured on this song, that was their baritone Mark Trammell. He now his own group ...The Mark Trammell Quartet. You can google it. Or if you meant Jonathan Wilburn , the "Lead" singer of that particular group, he sings with his son now.
