This worked for me 2005 f350. Just touched the solder joints with a solder iron with a fine tip and presto. Nothing else. Just the harness pins. THANK YOU!
You can't change the mileage by taking the cluster out it's in the computer. Even if you change the cluster out it puts your mileage back in the new cluster even if it came out of something with more miles. Great video though
So was that a permanent fix or did the issue come back? I’ve got an 07 superduty and desoldered the blue connector, when I pulled it out I found that the printed ribbon behind the connector may have been damaged due to the connector moving from having split plastic pins instead of screws like the other.
Ok my gauge has the exact same tape and prymarks on the outside ? I almost wonder if it isn’t an already fixed dash becuase I just noticed it. The marker is even on the same side of the tape
The speedometer, tach, oil,fuel,temp and battery gauges, the needles are flickering. No dome lights, radio and shifter "OFF" Keeps flashing also. The gauges constantly shaking, stop a few seconds or so and back to shaking. What's causing this? appreciateanh advice. Its a '05 Superduty XL 6.0 Its NOT making good contact (where the solder is)is why they shake? Add a little solder on them?
@@bigmiked52 yup, thanks! I pulled the light switch by holding a button down behind panel on light switch box then, pulling the knob out. Will the dash panel come out there or is there something else holding it in that area? I've the 2ea. 7mm screws. I have the dash out except that spot. The light switch knob is out.
My tranny temp and engine temp gauges went out. The needles still light up and move like they’re supposed to, and everything else still works like normal.. Any tips on that?

Well what I believe it is and I've heard this from other people is the previous owner will take the cluster out drive the truck without it all over the place when it gets 300,000 miles on it he puts the original cluster back in with the low miles on it and sells the truck to the dealer and you become the unsuspected new truck owner thinking that has 70,000 miles on it but it has 300,000 I've even heard that they take the seat out also and the rubber off the brake and gas pedal some people just no good
Try what I did new video maybe all the connections on your cluster of loose they come loose resolder them make sure the daughter that you use has flux in it
Hey brother I have an 07 f250 lariat 4x4 that has been bulletproofed and has had the o.e.m gauges unhooked and someone installed peer gauges but also has an edge evolution tuner on it all my dash light are on lip mode light abs light check engine light it keeps pulling up a code the garage says may be the tcm but with the hack job on the wiring not sure truck runs amazing!!! But these lights are stressing me out any ideas? Thank you in advance!! I’m new to diesels 6.0
bigmiked52 yes the gauges jump every once in a while but the radio and windows work !the left turn signal works but now passenger side just buzzes builds are all good half the gauge lights are bright other are dim. When trucks running high beams work on passengers side as but not drivers than when turned off exact opposite the truck has brand new battery’s and disconnects installed because it seems to have a parasitic drain as well
When your dash would go out, did it affect the driveability? I have 05 6.0 I just purchased, I probably have multiple issues but mine started cutting out as soon as the dash when out.

Troubleshooting for two days. I knew it was the cluster. Re-soldered what I could and heat-gun the chip. Left front cover off to adjust needles. 👍🏼

Mine was the plug. I drilled a hole in the dash support and zip tied the wire harness to it and didn't push the cam lock all the way. .. fixed

Not supposed to cut those zip ties. And you can't do anything with mileage on a digital dash. It would have to be flashed.

I just pulled my cluster out and I've got the duct tape with marker on it too.
Pulled my '06 this evening and the duct tape and marker is on as well -- I think it is a rub point and the tape quiets a squeak

My 05 powerstroke 6.0 is having issues like this,except it's the radio that turns off and wipers turn on by themselves,then stop working

I do alot of off road as am a farmer. Every time I hit a bump it would act up. The wire harness was hanging on the plug. Hence breaking connection
I have a 06 f250 6.0 and my turn signals stopped working my hazards still turn on but when I go to turn my signals on nothing
Did you check the fuses?
Multi function switch failure or the plug has come loose. Fairly common

What size are those bulbs and did you see the green film? Ive read you can remove that green film and put LED lights in there.
Yes you can I just took one bulb to Advance Auto Parts and they have the bulbs

Fuckin garbage.Im on my third cluster in my 06. These come from Rawsonville/Visteon with the duct tape on them.

Your should treat peoples daughters well. Flux is a good start though.

Anthony Rios the other way around. Alternator going out will cause dash, radio, and A/C to go haywire.
@@mitchploeg my issue was I had just put batteries in it and I somehow missed one of the cables that went across to the 2nd battery.
