Chillin' with Dylan: Sports, Music, Life Takes Episode #7 featuring: Vashti Cunningham

Peace! It’s been a min but Ep. #7 of Chillin’ with Dylan: Sports, Music, and Life Takes features not only just the best athlete I personally know but a day 1 homie of mine since HS, my sister in Christ, a 702 🐐, Vashti Cunningham. Vashti and I first met on the Gorman track team together where she was clearly the top talent of an already talented team. Vashti’s from elite pedigree as daughter of 1 of the most influential superstar NFL QB’s ever, Pr. Randall Cunningham, an elegant ballet dancer with the legendary Arthur Mitchell’s Dance Theater of Harlem, Pr. Felicity Cunningham, younger sister of a 2-time NCAA Track Champion/3-time NCAA All American, Randall Jr., niece to a Pro Bowl RB/CFB HOF inductee the late great Sam Cunningham, and older sister to the 2024 MW high jump conference champion, Grace and Sofia, whose only 12 but already in high and long jump; in Vashti’s own words, “Has every opportunity to break all of my records.” Vashti’s from a sports dynasty but what fuels her most is her love for God. My family and I joining Remnant Ministries was how we got to know Vashti and the Cunningham’s better and they’re a beautiful family who’ve built a loving parish for all seeking to get closer with God. Vashti made history while in HS in 2016 at age 18, becoming the youngest US track and field athlete since 1980 to qualify for the Olympics and later that year turned pro. At 26, she’s headed to her 3rd Olympics with Gold on her path. Vashti is also passionate about photography, fashion, anime, traveling, design etc. Ironically, the 1st interview I did with Vashti back in 2016 on BGTV never aired so it was only right to to do it on my OWN platform. Salute to Vashti always for being a great friend and inspo to shoot for the stars and aim for the moon, truly a vessel for God’s grace, excited to see her get 🥇in Paris this year!
