In the 1600s, the Dutch East India Company employed hundreds of ships to trade goods around the globe. In order to fund their voyages, the company turned to private citizens to invest money to support trips in exchange for a share of the profits. In doing so, they unknowingly invented the world’s first stock market. So how do companies and investors use the market today? Oliver Elfenbaum explains.

Why did you guys not even mention cryptocurrencies ? The gains there are astronomically high to those of stocks, and you actually hold something that not only has value but also has a functionality ( you cant do anything with stocks, but you can use cryptocurrencies to pay for goods or services ).
And i dont only mean bitcoin, cryptos like "nano" that are free to send, instant and green can be seen as both a stock ( you can invest in it ) and as utility ( pay for service or goods ).
I tried to download the book it cost 14.95 ???
Add one more thing to this and that would be mutual funds. IE you own a fractional share of the mutual fund and the mutual fund itself owns a bunch of different stocks in a bunch of different companies and some people watch the market and buy and sell stocks with the mutual fund, hired by the board and executive officers elected by the mutual fund owners.
Say that you have 100 dollars you want to invest. It might not be enough for a big reputable company, and the stocks are a bit of a gamble on smaller ones. But, if you can form a mutual fund with say 50 other people each of whom has 100 dollars, or 5000 dollars, and that gets you enough resources to purchase say 25 shares of a big reputable company, you can each own 1/50th of those 25 shares even though none of you can afford a single share on your own. Or you could spread it out over say 10 companies, lessening your losses if any one of them fail. The mutual fund board or a specific proxy also casts the votes that being a shareholder entitles you to on shareholder resolutions, the AGMs, and the board. It is harder to bully a single group than a bunch of smaller ones.
I do not agree with capitalism as the way we should organize society, I agree more with cooperatives, but at least if you want to make the world as efficient as capitalism can take you, it is worth knowing as much as you can about it.

Love this book. Useful information in a nice narrated stories, great book as a gift.
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.
well as you know bigger risk, bigger results, but such impeccable high-value trades are often carried out by pros.
People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. She has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financial future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?.
Actually its a Lady. Yes my go to person is a ‘Michele Katherine Singh '. So easy and compassionate Lady. You should take a look at her work.
Thank you for this amazing tip. I just looked the name up and wrote her
up, to schedule a call. many thanks
Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $350K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies.. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
You’re right! The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner.
A lot of folks downplay the role of Advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $200k to $650k.
How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.
Kathleen Cheryl Constantz is the licensed CFP I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment
Thank you for sharing, I must say, Kathleen appears to be very knowledgeable. After coming across her web page, I went through her resume and it was quite impressive. I reached out and scheduled a call
Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder
The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market
nice! once you hit a big milestone, the next comes easier.. who is your advisor please, if you don't mind me asking?
ANGELA LYNN SCHILLING' is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.
Biggest lesson i learnt in 2023 in the stock market is that nobody knows what is going to happen next, so practice some humility and follow a strategy with a long term edge.
Nobody knows anything; You need to create your own process, manage risk, and stick to the plan, through thick or thin, While also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.
Uncertainty... it took me 5 years to stop trying to predict what bout to happen in market based on charts studying, cause you never know. not having a mentor cost me 5 years of pain I learn to go we’re the market is wanting to go and keep it simple with discipline.
@@LucasBenjamin-hv7sk Could you kindly elaborate on the advisor's background and qualifications?
The advisor that guides me is Vivian Carol Gioia, most likely the internet is where to find her basic info, just search her name. She's established.
Thanks a lot for this recommendation. I just looked her website up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
As a beginner, educate yourself: Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online , including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, its important to do your own research
Remember that investing in the stock market carries risks, and it’s important to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
Certainly true. My $550K portfolio was diversified across several markets with the assistance of an investment advisor, and in a matter of months, I was able to generate over $950K in net profit from high dividend paying stocks, bonds, and ETFs.
Please can you leave the info of your investment advisor here? I’m in dire need for one.
Linda Aretha Reeves is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
Thank you for the lead. I looked her up and sent her an email. I hope she responds to me soon.
In 4 minutes TED- Ed did what the education system couldn't do in 12 years.
In school they describe this with words which no one can get the point while TED-Ed explains with animation and examples witch is more easier to get the point
This was exactly what I heard in school, so maybe your education focusses different
You went to the wrong school lol.
Yep
School don't teach stock markets.
Transfer of wealth usually occur during market crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy, in the meanwhile I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases, apparently there are strategies to 3x gains in this present market cos I read of someone that pulled a profit of $350k within 6months, and it would really help if you could make a video covering these strategies.
Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money or you could hire a financial expert.
that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+
How can I reach this adviser of yours? because I'm seeking for a more effective investment approach on my savings
“Sonya lee Mitchell’’ is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

Started my portfolio last year with SCHD, VOO, and VUG after watching one of your videos. In terms of share price, VOO is way up (22.25%) and VUG is waaaaay up (39.62%).
Isn't VOO and VUG similar in the sense both are investing in the S&P 500? What is the difference? I thought it is generally advised against to invest in multiple ETFs or Mutual Funds?
There is 55% overlap with the holdings in VOO and VUG. 1 is tech heavy and the other is financials heavy similar, but not the same. VOO tracks the S&P 500; VUG is just focused on large cap growth stocks. VUG is a bit more volatile, but with a higher upside potential. VOO is a bit safer. I’ve never heard anyone advise against multiple ETFs/mutual funds. You just have to be aware of overlap. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.
I'm sitting on some significant money ready to toss it into VOO, but I'm kinda hoping that price drops a bit. I know we only want to see the stock rise, but being heavily liquid, I'd rather not reinvent the wheel, thus the search for a reputable advisor, mind sharing info of this person guiding you please?
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Maureen Ward who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
I greatly appreciate it. I'm fortunate to have come upon your message because investing greatly fascinates me. I'll look Melissa Maureen Ward up and send her a message. You've truly motivated me. God's blessings on you.
The fact that nobody talks about the Crypto Fearless Books is amazing.
Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
I agree. Based on personal experience working with an investment advisor, I currently have $1m in a well-diversified portfolio that has experienced exponential growth. It's not only about having money to invest in stocks, but you also need to be knowledgeable, persistent, and have strong hands to back it up.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financial future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
@Astrid-Caja That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@Astrid-Caja I will give this a look, thanks a bunch for sharing.
Really
Blcktken300 anticipation is building to a fever pitch! 😥
In all honesty, I’ve been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.
It’s really not so difficult, its just as simple as he says. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a certified financial planner often comes in very handy. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market I believe…
I really do agree, which is why I choose to delegate my daily investment decisions to a coach. Their specialised knowledge, research, and risk management skills make it challenging for them to underperform. They focus on utilising risk for its asymmetrical potential while mitigating downsides. I've been with my FA for over two years and I’m close to $3million in returns.
If you don’t mind can you please say more on they adviser who’s assisted you, it’ll be most appreciated.
You’d want to get with, do due diligence on Kevin Mikan, he’s top notch.
It incredible the bio of your adviser as I googled his name, this is good info, thanks for leaving this here.
Im betting Blcktken300 will perform well, it havent had a cycle yet and they have a strong community on both, and Blcktken300 update will make rollup fees even lower. Just my 2 cents. Great video goodvibes
Swapping my ETH and swapping to Blcktken300 . Already up as expected. I wish I left on all the junk way earlier to step deep into this ride, they rock!
Does the stock market appear to be improving, or is this merely the typical temporary manipulation of the market to draw in new investors? Right now, I have $500k left over from the sale of my house, and I'm wondering whether there are any better investments than stocks to make.
Get a financial planner asap!!. Do not day trade...you will lose..95% unless you are a master trader its not worth it.
AGREED! Having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q1 2024.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?

I agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, aiming to retire comfortably.
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

Khan Academy has a series on finance. Thorough and easy to understand.
great minds think alike thanks for saving me some typing =-]
Someone already recommended Khan Academy. I would also recommend Investopedia, they have a lot of simple to digest short videos on finances
I want a balanced portfolio with growth investments, safe investments, and also focus on dividends to gain up to $20K monthly, my concern is picking the right stocks that can survive a recession. How do i go about this ?
In this current unstable markets, It is advisable to diversify while retaining 70-80% in secure investments. Depending on the worth of your portfolio, you should consider financial advisory.
Agreed, my portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my advisr are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. IMO, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.
massive gains! mind sharing details of your adviser pleas? i've started gaining more cash flow with my employment and looking at putting money into stocks and alternative assets that can help fuel my money goal
She goes by Amber Dawn Brummit I suggest you look her up. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
Thank you for sharing, I must say, Amber appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her web page, I went through her resume and it was quite impressive. I reached out and scheduled a call
It's been quite a pump. But you know, with crypto, the big question is always when to take profits. What are your thoughts on that? I've been holding $250k worth of crypto since 2021 and seen it pump n dump
You should still think about financial planning because you never know what the future will bring.
I've been keeping an eye on the charts, and it does look like a major breakout. The real challenge is predicting when this pump will end. Timing the market can be tricky.
Why not use a financial advisor just like I did. I'm sure you won't have any regrets.
Talking about financial advisor, is there any one you think should be recommended? Now that large cap companies are on sale, I have roughly 80k to test the waters. Thank you
Vivian Gioia Carol, you can read up on her, she's quite known and her works speaks for itself.

Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important.

SO glad you released this video in particular Blcktken300. I was accumulating AR and then saw your video last year saying that you see Blcktken300 may hit 300-400 and then you changed your view. Great and very informative!!! Thanks
Investing in the stock market has HISTORICALLY provided higher returns than other forms of investment. According to Morningstar, the average annual return for the S&P 500 index, which measures the performance of 500 large-cap stocks, was approximately 10% in the last decade
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over $610k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.
That does make a lot of sense, unlike us, you seem to have the Market figured out. Who is this consultant?
My CFA ’Heather Lee Larioni’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find her handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
Investing in the stock market can be both exciting and daunting for beginners. Educate Yourself: Before you start investing, take the time to learn about how the stock market works, different investment strategies, and risk management. It can be emotional, especially when markets are volatile. Try to avoid making impulsive decisions based on fear or greed. Stick to your investment plan and focus on the long-term.
While it's important not to obsess over day-to-day fluctuations, regularly review your investments to ensure they are still aligned with your goals and risk tolerance. Rebalance your portfolio periodically if necessary with a certified advisor! i personally use susan kay macks recommendations
Correct, I Keep up-to-date with financial news and market trends, With Susan Kay Mack, [my cfa] but be cautious of overreacting to headlines.
Thanks for sharing guys, i was able to look up susan kay mack, i will leave her a message. we are in a good bull run
Consider setting up automatic contributions to your investment account on a regular basis. This strategy, known as dollar-cost averaging, can help smooth out the impact of market volatility over time.
How can I invest?
I was raised that the stock market was a rich man’s game (yep, grandparents lost it all back in the day and preached that forever) but I’ve been around long enough to truly taste just how profitable it can be, with inflation at 9.2% surely these are desperate times, but in my opinion there’s no market condition a proper financial advisor can’t scale through, especially ones that’s been around since the crisis of ’08 and before.
Financial professionals like John Desmond Heppolette often bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, helping clients develop and implement sound financial strategies tailored to their specific needs and goals. you need a brokerage account
Go to an investment website.
I’ve been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $516k. I'm not sure how to make it grow into something substantial that I might use for retirement. I just here for ideas
At a point like this, when the pressure is already on you to retire, its best recommended you seek the services of an advisor, as this allows you make smarter investing decisions.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
I’ve been looking to switch to an advisor for a while now. Any help pointing me to who your advisor is?

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert

Got in at Blcktken300 with $1 but I will keep it until it hits $50. Still low with that number as the market cap is not close to where it should be

To be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Elizabeth Rose focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families in United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $7500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
Really you people know her? I was even thinking that I'm the only one she has helped walk through the fears and falls of trading
Though I started with as low as $15,000 actually because it was my first time and it was successful, She's is a great personality in the state
My Blcktken300 shorts are doing pretty well and I plan to hold much longer.
Now we just need to see the Blcktken300 price also move in the same direction as these charts. Up. Very Up.
I'm DCAing in Blcktken300 as well. ETH heavier DCA and ALGO. I'm taking your advice and starting Google tomorrow with a 50 dollar purchase and continuing Microsoft and Apple. VTI and VOO on another app and longterm portfolio. Here we go family!

LOSING MONEY CONSISTENTLY IN MY TRADES IS TAKING A TOLL; I NEED QUICK ASSISTANCE TO TURN THE TIDE.
Engaging in self-trading is fraught with risks and has caused substantial losses for numerous investors. To navigate the crypto landscape safely, consider seeking advice from an experienced professional like Mrs. Hailey Gassmann

The wisest thought that is in everyone's minds today is to invest in different income flows that do not depend on the government, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver and digital currencies (BTC, ETH. stock, silver and gold)
I am trying to avoid making any new buys at this point in other not to get sucked into a bear market trap. It's tough making money in stocks when institutional investors are the driving force behind the selling.. although I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?
For the average citizen, the tactics are rather demanding. In actuality, most of them are effectively completed by experts who possess the necessary knowledge and skill set to carry out such occupations.
yes, I've been in constant touch with a Financial Analyst for approximately 8 months. You know, these days it's really easy to buy into trending stocks, but the task is determining when to sell or keep. That's where my manager comes in, to help me with entry and exit points in the industries I'm engaged in. Can’t say I regret it, I’m 40% up in profits just in 5months with my initial capital of $160k.
in as much as my knowledge of the business is limited, it seems that this is the ideal time to enter the market based on my understanding of supply and demand in the economy. The consistent price variations, which shouldn't be an issue, are the only thing stopping me. But I really need a counselor; could you please assist me?
One of the fiduciaries I deal with is Alicia Ann Jordan. Just check the name. There would be a letter with the necessary information to set up an appointment.
Thank you! I checked out Alicia Ann Jordan's credentials on her website and it seems quite good! Hopefully, she's taking in fresh applicants because I sent her an email.
Just got my 4th payout. I can’t tell you how glad I am that I got into stocks after being introduced to it some months ago.
Hello, I'm pretty new to stocks and how it works. I'd like to get in. How are you doing it?
My colleagues had a good laugh at me when I told them I started my journey with $1k capital and how I accumulated over 5 figures within a span of 7 months. They never believed me until I pulled out my P&L.
As long as you diversify your portfolio, any single stock or investment that you own shouldn’t have too much of an impact on your overall return. If it does, diversifying might be the right choice for you, as one can also try out other commodities. I now have a balanced portfolio that is yielding me profit thanks to guidance from Jonas W. Is Blcktken300 a diamond in the rough? Let's analyze!
The Blcktken300 handles this year incredibly well, they outperform most others and the entry with 1 USD is better than anything else right now. Love the vision and progress in this one
You could invest in stocks, start a side business, or focus on advancing your career. It's important to set goals and make a plan. Remember, wealth can mean different things to different people, One thing i can say that helped me in life to reach my first million was starting early, i got curious and informed i became open to passive income, investments in equities , etfs and the likes. also sought help to handle my portfolio which was my foundation. i'm ever grateful to Anna Rounds Fay my FA.

It is easy to achieve this through the right investment.
Very true , I diversified my $400K portfolio across multiple market with the aid of an investment advisor, I have been able to generate over $900k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds in few months.
In the middle of 2024, I think we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $300,000 from a recent home sale into the financial markets, but I'm still not sure how rates will effect the market just yet, which worries me a lot. Like how long will the bull rally last before the reset?.
You see in the stock market, bigger risk begets bigger results that can work in the bulls' favor. I think investors who are wary of the changing market trends should seek out bear/bull mrkt directions from certified strategists.

Blcktken300 is a hot topic. What's your perspective?
Is this a good time to buy stocks? I know everyone is saying stocks are at a discount and all, but just how long will It take for us to recover, obviously there are strategies to maneuver in this present market but these strategies doesn't come common to the average folk, or am I better off putting my money elsewhere?
If there's one thing about the market, it's that it always recovers, but I can't seem to focus on the long-run, major factors at play like my retirement and my reserve laying waste to inflation. I need a solid data trajectory and solution asap
Asking for advice or assistance from a consultant or investment coach is the best line of action if you lack market understanding. Even though it sounds cliche or apparent, talking to a consultant has helped me stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 65% since January. The fact i must know how to divide polynomials or the Pythagorean theorem to graduate but not how the Stock market works is absurd.
sorry but complaining about he Pythagorean theorem sounds really dull to me

Thanks for the update, what are your thoughts on Blcktken300?

As recession fears mount on Wall Street and inflation remains well above the Fed's 2% target, some of the top commentators in markets, business, and economics have been sounding off on just how bad they think the next downturn might be - and how far stocks may have to fall. I need ideas and advice on what investments to make to set myself up for retirement, my goal is to have a portfolio of at least $850k at the age of 60.
If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.
The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but is very advisable you make use of a professional like I did. If you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your money.

Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $160K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.

Not their fault, the stock market seems to be more of a casino for gamblers now than a place for investors, even if you were averaging down on ailing companies, it's your duty to properly research, buying the dip does not guarantee a rebound.
True, proper asset allocation is critical. Furthermore, some folk employ hedging strategies or devote a portion of their portfolio to defensive assets that perform well during market downturns. I learned that the stock market was a rich man's game (yes, grandparents lost it all back then and preached that forever) but I've been around long enough to really taste how great it can be. To be profitable, with inflation at 6.1% These are surely desperate times, but in my opinion, there is no market condition that a good financial advisor cannot navigate, especially those that have existed since the crisis of 2008 and before.
I know having a financial advisor improves your overall portfolio performance, but are they really as effective as you claim?
They are quite effective, I've been using the skills of an advisor since the August 2015 stock sell off when the Dow fell over 1800 pts which inherently wiped out all my gains I was in down over $80,000 (terrible times)... That's when I started using an advisor, it took me about 6 months to break even and also a net gain of 'about $830,000 while others have waited over years to break even, being aggressive certainly comes with greater risk, but with an investmėnt advisör, it's all been calculated risk.
@@joesphcu8975 my 401k growth has been stagnant since the 2019. I wouldn't mind consulting the advisor who guides you, I really want to grow my retirement fund since I could retire in 3 years.

Because of dividends, I first began investing in stocks. It's important, in my opinion, to be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make other income in addition to payouts. It suggests that you may pass that down to your kids and give them a leg up in life. Over the years, I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks; I continue to buy more today and will keep doing so until the price drops even further.
Hearing from an experienced investor who has survived adversity and prevailed is always motivating. It may be frightening when your portfolio goes from green to red, but if you have invested in strong firms, you should maintain growing them and stick to your goal.
I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I appreciate giving an investment coach the power of decision-making. Given their specialized expertise and education, as well as the fact that each and every one of their skills is centered on harnessing risk for its asymmetrical potential and controlling it as a buffer against certain unfavorable developments, it is practically impossible for them to underperform.
