Totally agree!! This is the one car I love and have a condition in my trust that this GN cannot ever leave the family. I just moved it to AZ from Cali and was in shock that it had not been registered in 17 years (Did not ever want to get a dreaded smog test for some person to jack with it). I see it as a work of art and am second owner which my trunk is still filled with many years of stocking up on original parts to support its life including factory upholstery material should the time come. Like I want, I am sure your father is hanging on tight in the passenger seat in spirit....
Very nice example of a stock Grand National. The presenter however failed to mention that the moonroof(astroroof) on this Grand National is an aftermarket unit, not stock. If it was stock, the code CF5 would be shown on the SPID sticker.
Great video . I purchased my 87 grand national 5 yrs ago and was doing some research before my purchase, my main concern was it came with a digital dash but at the end of the day everything checked out . I'm the 2nd owner and just recently hit 85,000 miles . Just a clean unmolested GN . Always enjoy watching your vids
Many people get rid of the power assis brand to a vacum booster its nice to see a collectible body made by Fisher G body Pontiac Michigan is the correct vin for this car and LC2 is also the RPO code for the turbo v6
Yes what are the measurements for the fender badges ,I'm restoring my 87 ,GN ,.can U help me Bro , and my GN has a Astro sun roof , from Factory ,my is a rare GN ,..
86 grill was not all chrome, just the strip on top, under the header panel. The T-type and T packages had chrome grill unless ordered with blackout package
@@BulletmotorsportsInc yes, true. Fewer built in 86 so the chrome can be a nice thing too, hah. Owned many of them over the years, still have a rare 1986 Regal T with WE4 package. 92 option codes, only one missing is factory alarm. Aluminum wheels and bumper supports so lighter and slightly faster than a GN.
@@BulletmotorsportsInc Within the Buick community it is a hot topic, lower production #s and only 10 less stated HP should make them more or less the same value. Keep up the good info and excellent videos, some very fine GNs have been featured (and sold I presume) here on your channel. Always subbed for the next nice one!
You can tell the 1987 is one of the last ones built by the steering wheel wrap it’s usually one piece with a seam at 6 o’clock that one has a seam at 7 and 5 o’clock at the end of the runs they were running out of material also that’s the wrong Mass Air Sensor
Great video! I’m picking a high Mike 87 up in the morning. Do you have a list of GN mods vs non-GN’s i.e seats, dash plaque, etc.? Is there a specific dealer for OEM parts?
My dream car I rather have one of these than a lambo I know some people would say I'm crazy but I dream of this car but unlike you guys I want it as a daily driver ....
I have Raced a lot of those wimpy Turbo 6 Models, My Regal SS smokes every GN on the Strip & Street including the GNX. Shoot I can Squawk the Rubber at 60 simply by pressin' the peddle aha yeah. Those are a Nice Body Style for a Muscle Car ha , yeah you know it don't cha!
1987 GN. Rare CF5 Astroroof, Digital Dash, Factory Alarm, Power Seats astroroof cars were produced in the first half of the 1987 GN production... It's real sir...
Anyone who has a Grand National should never sell it. I have one my father left me when passed away. It's a real collector car

Facts - another giveaway is the Sunroof switch is not chrome to match the window switches

Small red light under the rear defrost switch is aftermarket. Alarm system light / theft deterrent? See it at 16:04 approx.

Eddie Costa this one is for sale.
You are THE official Go-to source for the GN and GNX !!! Awesome 🍻💰💯
Yall always have nice cars and trucks maybe one day I can afford one nice video
They are all excellent.
Would be cool to get an old Connecticut State Police T- Type. FBI I believe purchased the last of them.
I mean I love the Grand National but that hat of yours bro!!!! Sweet
This was so informative, thanks so much!
The factory astro roof has the electric switch and it has a manual mechanical override next to the switch
You are correct
Yes what are the measurements for the fender badges ,I'm restoring my 87 ,GN ,.can U help me Bro , and my GN has a Astro sun roof , from Factory ,my is a rare GN ,..
Very rare that this GM has an astro roof there was one GNX that had an astro roof the owner of the Marriott hotels bought a GNX with the astro roof
David, that absolutely is NOT a factory astroroof
This car did not have factory exhaust. Factory exhaust is black from the tip to about a foot up to behind the rear wheel.
86 grill was not all chrome, just the strip on top, under the header panel. The T-type and T packages had chrome grill unless ordered with blackout package
spooley correct. But essentially any chrome =86

P.S. I blame video games, they always have the 87 GN or GNX, made every 90s kid want an 87 only and now that they have the cash to buy one. ;-)
Have a 85 GN exactly like this one, moon roof and everything. I always thought mines was a clone.

Beautiful original grand national 245 hp 3.8 231turbo
THEY WERE DEFINITELY FAST AT LEAST BACK THEN LOL I LOVED RACING THEM WITH MY 87 MUSTANG GT AND MY 93 COBRA.

How much can I buy a driver for?
How much do you want for it and is it still available
How much did this car sell for?
Or the plastic could still be on the original dash bezel like mine.
This was posted 8 months ago. What did it sell for?
@Turbo Last Name thanks man.
The hood emblems are in the incorrect location. Too far back
How much for the car?
@Little Turbo Big Brain page not found. That's why I asked.
@@oSTYNCLSYo he replied to me. He said $29,500.00
My Uncle had a T-Top car. I would rather have a hardtop after riding in one. T-Top cars make way too many noises.
