Pretty good port of Real Bout Special, with a new end boss compared to the arcade and Saturn versions (and Gameboy too). Took me a few years to finally get a copy of this.
Its a tough one too as the S-Power and P-Power movements were changed. Playing from the arcade and Saturn versions playing this one was a bit nerve wrecking. I bought this to own it back in late '99 and after a few weeks went back to the Saturn version. We had an arcade that had Real Bout Special and 2 and I was thrown off my game. Overall its the best SNK port for PSX period. Last Blade is 2nd only because they tried to faithfully port Last Blade and its not a bad one. In fact its only slower than the PS2 port which is not optimized or refined as it should be. As for the KOF ports they suffer the worst as KOF 95 had glitches and the rest are missing animation. I forgot about Samurai Showdown 1 + 2 port which is not bad but should have went to the Saturn. Samsho 3 is horrible for PSX, another glitchy painfully slow mess. Samsho 4 was better but again RBSDM is the best IMO of any SNK port
White seems more like a Batman villain than a Fatal Fury villain. I know this because SNK staff in creating White, they relied on Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange.

The addition of Alfred and White, a new character, were cool and made it stand out. This is their best for NeoGeo next to Last Blade. However the Saturn port was superior.
It's still a reworked port of RBFFS. Shares all stages and characters as the arcade game, including Alfred as a hidden extra fight, but with an addition of White as an endboss.
stevacus It's a port that best utilizes the PSX hardware like Guilty Gear originally did for the PSX. Unlike GG which was made for the PSX, this is a port that gets its source code from Real Bout Special and Real Bout 2. The Plane stage is from Real Bout 2, and the Impact Moves are ideally sort of based on how Real Bout 2 looks.Also some stages in Real Bout 2 removes the in-plane switching The only actual exclusive stage would be White's stage. This port is 75% Real Bout Special and 20% Real Bout 2, and 5% PSX exclusive.
@@superroboted something bugs me- wikipedia says the game returns to the two plane system- but its only one plane? No one switches planes in this video either. so whats up with that? its basically like mark of the wolves, right?
In the intro scene Andy should be more careful when he jumps or he'll be chopped to pieces with that plane rotor if it wasn't for his brother Terry 0:41

Funnily enough there is an easy way to beat him, you just have to jump high enough to reach him and then use a throw on him. He almost never counters it.

No destructable elements left and right and no 3 lane system (I think it's called oversway) in this version. Some players love it, some don't like it.
