Is proficiency in Cantonese required to become a doctor in hk? Any advice for abc or bbc who has hk origin but may not be able to speak fluent Cantonese/Mandarin? Thx.
Cantonese is important for patient communication but there are some doctors who cannot speak cantonese n can still practice in hk. A lot of abc/bbc enter medical sku not knowing cantonese but slowly pick up after all these yrs of training!
