Adorable and so much potential! One of your little pincushions and a stitched needle book would make a very sweet gift

Thank you Daniela. I have made a few of these and added an elastic glued to the base to slip over the wrist. I gifted one to a sewing friend who loves it and uses it when she pins a quilt to her longarm machine which involves her moving along the side of her machine💕

I have made these before but I like to cover the base and sometimes I add a loop of elastic to them

Very cute, so many great ideas for gifts too. I've read elsewhere that crushed walnut shells as filling actually sharpens the pins and needles stuck into the pin cushion? Haven't tried that so far, because pillow filling is easier to source...

Thanks. I've heard the same about the walnut shells, but haven't tried that.

Just found this tutorial this morning. I recently bought some sewing stuff at an auction, and one box had a couple of those tomato pincushions in it. I already had one of those, so I took one apart to use the filling for another handmade pincushion. I'm wondering if the rest of that sawdust type of filling would work in this wrist pincushion idea. I've kinda been on a pincushion kick lately, and I really, really love this idea, but I didn't see how you made it into a wrist cushion. Did I miss something??

What a great way to salvage parts from unusable pincushions! Great thinking!
In the video, I just gave an example of the wrist cushion, as there are lots of ways to modify this technique.

Huh. Is there another video that shows how you make wrist attachment? This is a good tutorial but was watching to see the wrist attachment made.

Sorry, but I don't have a video, yet, on making a pincushion with a wrist strap.
