My review of the Victorinox Hercules, a great Swiss knife that is in-between the Outrider and the Workchamp in weight and thickness. Featuring a wide range of useful tools, it is definitely a model to consider whether indoors or outdoors. Enjoy :]

My favorite 111mm Victorinox. It fits so good in the hand, it has surpassed the 91mm models as my Swiss EDC. It is also very "sheeple friendly" in an office environment despite its size. This is due to its traditional trademark red scales..

I asked my son to give me a Hercules for Christmas last year. It is my go-to knife for little jobs around the house. Interestingly, it has a line lock for the main blade instead of the lock on the side of the handle. My EDC is either a Huntsman or a Climber.

Picked up a liner lock outrider after seeing your most recent video on it. Great knife, but it's about the limit of thickness I will pocket carry. For this hercules or the work champ, I think I'd use my belt pouch! Thanks for the great video, buddy.

I gotta get a Victorinox with a saw. My beloved Ego does not have one. I use the little pliers all the time. I used to use the scissors to open chip bags in the car, lol. Bad habit. Got a new used car with a new rule: no eating in the car. Been good so far. Thanks for your truly thorough-enough reviews. I'd like to see some martial art stuff. Used to be a karateka but am now disabled. Want someone to teach me sword play so I can effectively deploy my Cold Steel sword cane (22"), but no one does that around here where I live. It is pretty much all kid stuff anymore with the "Take Your Dough" crowd (Taekwondo).

On my birthday, April 10, you come out with this knife to review, I think it's a sign that I should treat myself and get one of these. I love the size on this one but I still hate taking up space on a knife for a cork screw. This is only the second video I've seen of your and I already subscribed because you do the best reviews I've seen on youtube and that includes guys with about a million subs, nothing fancy here, but way shorter and to the point, Nutun rarely ever makes a point, just rambles on and on and on until he thinks of something to say. You on the other hand have got a much better delivery, not too many words to sit through to get to the point. It's almost a sales pitch, well, it is, but that's fine because I want to buy everything anyway. You make it easier to feel good about it. I don't need anymore knives, I need another tool box with wheels to put them in. Thanks for helping me fill up another one.

I once had a Wenger Fisherman SAK which my brother-in-law gave me as a gift and was my satisfactory EDC for many years. Unfortunately, it fell from my backpocket. After a few months, I thought of replacing it with a Victorinox SAK and settled for a man-sized 111mm model that was HERCULES. It was love at first sight haha! I instantly noticed the scales having a unique wavey shape which fills my hand quite heftily and cried, "Whoa, look at that grip!" Then it has a safety slide lock that secures the 3inch blade so you can use it confidently without fear of its sharp edge closing in on your knuckles. Then it has a pair of scissors, pliers, shark-toothed saw and the standard tools packed in. I bought a micro screwdriver that homes itself in the corkscrew. At first, I thought it was too heavy as an every day carry at 200gms, but I soon got used to it, that I even bring it to my long runs on the roads or mountain trails. Each time I use it, people cannot help but admire it whether in the office or outdoors. At about USD 60, it is one of the best purchases I made for its usefulness and I'd say I'm very satisfied!
Greetings to all my fellow SAK Hercules owners worldwide from the Philippines! 🇵🇭

Man, I wonder why the algorithm always gets me to your videos late. Excellent video as usual and haven't finished it yet. I carry an explorer now with a pair of smaller needle nose pliers as I'm working as a mechanic then I pretty much like to have a wave or a wingman when out and about. But I really like my explorer because of the name and it has great scissors and the older style magnifying glass (I have poor eyesight). I think I still have 20 ska's and thats after giving some of them away...I want this Hercules. Thanks WAJK's. (Oh, and I forgot: always have at least two ska's in my day pack : a champion and usually a spartan with paracord).

Still waiting for the S19 review! I also have this model and love it. Too big for daily edc, tried that for a few months but work slacks are too thin, esp in the summer. But, for the weekend multitool, in a belt scabbard, it's the bomb.

I've got one of these, it's a strange mix of Bushcraft and excellent long Philips screwdrivers.
As an Electronics Tech, I absolutely love this knife for being able to work with recessed Philips screws.
If you're a Handyman this has the edge on Leatherman.
PS: a Swiss Card pen fits nicely under the saw of this knife.

0:40 Corkscrew - much more useful than you think. In it one can install a Fireant mini ferro-rod, and a twist of tinder. Now, many laugh at this fiddly little piece and write it off as frivolous. However Felix Immler (ref) has demonstrated conclusively that he lit over 100 fires using this little Fireant ferro-rod quite easily! It all has to do with the choice of tinder!
The Hercules really is an excellent all-rounder knife and well-suited for the outdoors and around the house as well. Personally I would have preferred the main blade of the Ranger Grips, but it is not a serious issue, just a personal whim!

Absolutely true. I don't like toting around those 5 or 6+ layers of 111mm knives but really want a metal saw. However the Locksmith with 4 layers includes the metal saw/file and wood saw as well. Scissors I can do without cuz I have blades and frankly when you really need a pair of pliers (jammed, bent or rusted nuts) those little things on SAKs just don't work well enough so that eliminate 2 layers on the knife for the backcountry. Luv that metal saw!! The 91mm Ranger or the Mountaineer is my go to always with me (car and camp) knife and they have scissors and metal saw/file if needed, though the Mountaineer lacks a wood saw.
