EPIC. But the best part was the ALTOS. The SOPs were great, piercing through like winter solace, but the altos were swaggy representing the coolness of fall, and we must admit the tenors were as solid as a winter storm. The band, we cannot forget the band, bringing the sweet heat like a spring sunset. AND...to the director, seasoned in his approach to grace, power, and inspiratation.
I’ve always loved the alto part, especially in the full recording.

You both were being nice , and that’s alright, but, they were “gettin’ down” like the world does… it felt like the club. They straight partied to this song. The vibe of it all DOES NOT cause me to think about Jesus, but how to bust the funkiest moves. Why do we think we must “funk up” our worship songs to The Master? Why? because some folks ain’t fully delivered yet. Even a large majority of the commenters used terms like, “This was pimpin’ … this was hot…..this is fire” and other terms only used when describing Godless worldly music. (Yeah, I know some are going to come for me because of this remark, but I’m not going to fight with them, they can take it up with the Master on Judgement Day regarding their Droppin’ it Like it’s Hot and Crip Walkin’ in the pulpit.) …..Guess it wasn’t too smart for me to make a comment like this amongst Ricky Dillard fans. “Fans” SMH ….And yes, I like some of his music, such as “Let there Be Peace”

I drove 11hrs from the DC area to see my favorite choir, and it was worth the ride. I knew Ricky Dillard and New G would have some phenomenal after COVID-19 music. When the third song took us in, I knew I got what I came for and more. Get ready to hear some incredible soloists. I was literally blown away by the level of singing that took place.

I have also experienced The Late Reverend Milton Brunson and The Thompson Community Singers live recordings and I rate Ricky Dillard and New G next to them.

Everybody is singing pretty high!!!. Tenors are buttery smooth. Altos are sweet, smooth and clean in that range...and sopranos are exquisitely singing in a solid blend. Few soprano sections achieve this especially higher up....NICE NICE.
