I saw this in theaters and when the girl at the coffee shop shows interest in Harry this girl in the audience said loudly “he’s really not attractive” and everyone laughed so hard lmao

Very disappointed with the screen adaptation. The beginning of HP6 BOOK is actually one of the best in the whole series.
Poor boy was too busy trying to survive and was constantly worried, besides, he had no idea how to act around a girl.
I assume everyone now believes in Harry after the Judge sees Voldemort himself which not only he doesn’t believe that Voldemort is back but he left the Ministry after he is proven wrong… this scene has the most saddest music because not only Harry lost Cedric to his enemy, he lost his Godfather to that evil torture witch, I’m glade Dumbledore is able to be with Harry while the cameramen from the Ministry are taking pictures of the incident

trivia time: in the books, dumbledore also asks harry to hold on to his left arm, but mentions his "wand arm" is fragile because of the injury - in the books, Dumbledore is right handed.
Gambon is left-handed, so Dumbledore is left-handed in the movies. Didn't matter at all until the injury thing came up. So they painted the injury on his movie wand-arm (left) to keep it consistent but chose to keep Harry on the left and just delete the bit about not touching the wand arm.

I SO wanted to see Dumbledore telling off the Dursleys for how they raised him so neglectfully and abused him so much that Harry's never been able to call Number 4 home the way he should've all along. That telling off was a long time coming.

@@celinatay7547 maybe we’ll get it in the tv series. The proper final meeting between Dumbledore and the Dursleys. Cause Dumbledore was right- they never cared for Harry. Even if he didn’t have the Horcrux in him he probably still wouldn’t be able to call them family beyond the blood relation. That’s how nasty the Dursleys were.

Just a few weeks after getting his ass saved from Voldemort, Harry goes to a random pub and reads newspapers full of moving pics. Wait, why are those pictures not moving? And what's with the random waiter lady that does not even exist in the book?

Yeah man, the Harry Potter movies are quite different from the books. About at least 50% I’d say was changed throughout the series.
This girl didn’t even exist and I don’t understand why the filmmakers even made Harry seem interested in her 😭
It's interesting how you can see that even Slughorn was a silghtly racist toward Muggleborn wizards. When someone says something offensive and then "Don't think I'm prejudiced", they are surely racists.
You missed his point entirely. Obviously one would be impressed with the exceptional academic prowess of a Muggleborn witch or wizard, considering the fact that unlike halfblood or pure-blood witches and wizards (with a few exceptions like Harry), Muggleborns grow up with no knowledge or understanding of magic, because of their parents being Muggles. Lily or Hermione would have had absolutely no knowledge of magic, let alone Hogwarts, in their upbringing, until they received their letters. Compare that to someone like Ron or Draco, who were brought up constantly exposed to magic in the household. I can see why you misconstrued Slughorn’s intentions, but he was not racist at all.

It’s incredible, though. The opening of this movie is perhaps my favorite and yet for me this is the worst movie in the all franchise. Yates doesn’t seem capable of making actors play in a convincing way. They just stare with dumb expressions, looking towards some point over the camera. Yates movies are incredibly boring for this. The acting of the trio is so much different from their previous movies. Such a shame.

So would the house being trashed indicate that the Death Eaters HAD in fact already raided this home, looking for Professor Slughorn, and given the fact that he is still at the house when Harry and Dumbledore arrive, the Death Eaters weren't as clever as Dumbledore and couldn't flush him out.
I don't remember if they explain it in the movie, but in the book, Slughorn says that he wrecked the house in a rush because Harry and Dumbledore set off his defenses. That's why Dumbledore was able to tell so easily (Thought he probably could anyway since he's Dumbledore), because Slughorn didn't have time to do it properly.
@@Sisho88 Dumbledore could tell almost instantly because Slughorn didn't put the Dark Mark. What gave him away wasn't the blood, in fact, Dumbledore asked Slughorn what had he used for the blood stains.
Yes, Slughorn would fake raids and murders to throw off the Death Eaters.
Except, this one was shoddy because of how fast Albus and Harry arrived. Biggest give away is Slughorn failing to place a Death Mark. Also Albus is the foremost researcher in Dragon's Blood that's his major contribution to the wizarding world. However, the movie uses blood while the book uses the mark as the give away.
