I got dragged through the inferno hearing those disgusting vocals The sound engineer was in a wake in province with Lorna shore's current vocalist Will Ramos Also Shane the bassist, was in winds of plague and CJ confirmed he hit CJ up and started the project
This is one of the best heavy tracks of the year for me. Deathcore is my main rotation but Blackbriar is actually my favorite band, seeing someone repping their shirt and headbanging to heavy deathcore is just badass.
Oh yeah, didn't even think about the contrast of those bands. Blackbriar is simply amazing, I loved their new album and saw them live twice. They absolutely slay, much heavier than on studio! Also fun fact: currently wearing that shirt! /Andrei
That's awesome man, i hope to be able to see them live if/when they come to the U S. Their sound is much heavier than people give them credit for, songs like "Deadly Diminuendo', "Weakness and Lust", and "I'd Rather Burn" hit much harder with harsh vocals added with Zora's 😂.
Great reaction as always guys! CJ came back to the genre with an absolute banger, I really love the new vocal techniques he's doing! I've only heard like two other people do them and he sounds even better. Can't wait for the album!
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses Kyle Williams of Babirusa and Lukas Swiaczny of Stillbirth can do it, I think they might use a slightly different technique than CJ (or CJ throws something extra in, IDK) but the sound is very similar. Well that was a dramatic opening to a song….. and then the nightmare began (and in a good way!😝) Omfg that’s heavy and punch to the face and I love everything about it! Also that looooooooong ass growl at the end!!! HOW THE HELL?!?!! Awesome review as always guys!🤘
I don't know how he does that, it blew our mind and out-memed us all at once. One of the most evil songs I heard this year. Thanks for watching! /Andrei
This sounds exactly like Lorna Shore. I kinda wish these guys had their own flavour that makes them a little different. But still good. Bleargh-core is now a genre i think.
I disagree with "exactly like Lorna Shore". The formula is there because Cj actually helped create it so similarities are basically unavoidable. But this sounds more down and dirty evil black metal tinged as opposed to Lorna's explosive super fast attacking style. I do agree with Bleargh-core though. It blearghs! / George
This was always Cj style. Cause Lorna Shore is still working with Cj styles. It was Cj style when he joined the Lorna Shore and they've kicked him and kept his style.🤘 Sorry, if i spelled something wrong cause English isn't my first language
🤣🤣🤣🤣 amazing reaction as always lmfaoooooo!!!!! I've actually never really liked CJ's vocals much. I didn't know about Lorna Shore until To The Hellfire came out so I have never been that into his vocals. And I don't really listen to their old stuff with him in it either. But honestly, this one sounded freaking awesome. His vocals are a bit different, and this song freaking RIIIIIPS!!!! At this point I don't even care why he got kicked out of Lorna Shore lol. This is too good not to listen to lol
He's so brutal, honestly, my brain is leaking out my ears. Absolutely pulverizing. But I think I also agree new Lorna was my favourite, but I'd wanna dive more into the previous stuff cos I didn't get to hear much of it. /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses ear plugs might help you with that hehe 😂 I have listened to a lot of their older stuff but it's just not nearly as good. Imo. Not just becuz of the vocals, but the music wasn't as epic either. Immortal would be the only one that I actually really like from the ones before Will. And that one was created with the help of the same producer as the new stuff I do believe. Something like that anyways lol I do like some of their other ones but not nearly as much lol but it might be different for you. I know a lot of ppl who like the old stuff more. So who knows. You might like it a lot lol
@@hex_a_lexa Yeah I like Immortal as well, just the song, not the entire album, didn't hear it in full. Anyway, with the amount of music we're dealing with, there's no telling if I'll even get to check them out LOL /Andrei

Great to see another new band for you guys to react to, and to hear your more technical input on the song, and production. Warning, Unpopular Negative Opinion Below. This song takes about a minute and a half to get really boring. Vocal styles like this make me want to take a nap, honestly.
Well if it's not your thing I can see where boring would come from but "take a nap"? While this monstrosity is happening? Regardless of whether you like it or not, it's like a drill in your skull. If you can sleep hearing that, you my friend, are special! /Andrei
I actually agree with you. The music and the vocals are all technically good. But it felt like composition was lacking, or just left the building... There were some very cool unique moments. But most of them felt like they didn't really fit into the song. So it basically felt like 6+ minutes of the same 1-2 of good minutes of music looped, and some vocal parlor tricks thrown in. Nevermind that the intro is long enough to make me want to leave. I'd be interested to see if composition with the band gets better as they mesh. But as of now, I actually could sleep to this. But I could use Into The Earth as a lullaby so....yeah, I'm wierd.
So... this was the only way I would've watched this song. And... THATS IT?! THAT'S IT.... I must be crazy or something but that just made me laugh hysterically.... I honestly, with the way it was talked about, thought itd be a lot more brutal but still satisfied my inner spider. I guess I lost my mind again. That was heavy and awesome but not enough to scare me. Huh... well done with that
Ok, I think you're actually getting more accustomed to the brutal lows cos I thought this was the only thing as brutal as the likes of Demolisher, To The Hellfire or The Catacombs. Y'know, you don't have to be scared all the time, you can like the stuff too. /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses I'm definitely getting a lot more used to it. I guess after hearing river of knives and Deadweight *correction 13 deathcore vocalists.
