  • This week I'm visiting the Duck River of Columbia, Tennessee, once again in search of a 20"+ smallmouth bass. Every catch except one was on the topwater Whopper Plopper.

It’s really exciting to see a smallie hit a top water ! Good footage ! I live in Maury county, so I know this area very well.

I thought you had a dog behind you panting but it was the herons I guess with their mating ritual making that sound. Good fishing and good luck with no overheating issues.

My wife and I passed you on the river this day. I was the only cowboy hat on the river I reckon. You caught more than me for sure. Great video! Just subbed!

One thing I could give you info about if you do an external battery to power GoPro will cut your overheating in half if not eradicate it.

That’s what I use now, but for a couple of weeks it was 95 outside in full sun.

@@chunkyfellafishingI second this. I’m running a go pro with the media mod and a mic. Run the go pro without the battery in it. It will cut on and run as long as it’s connected to the power pack. I fished all day on the 4th on OHL with no issues in direct sunlight. Just keep the power pack covered from direct sunlight.
Great video my man! Just subbed 🤙🏻

I've caught some decent fish in the Duck, but sometimes it's tough to know what lures to use because of how dirty the water can get. Looks like you had a decent trip!

Hey man where are you putting in on the Duck. Never been there. Fished the Buffalo a lot from Crazy Horse.

@@chuckallen5552I came here to ask the same thing! Haha. I live in Pegram and the Harpeth River has been absolutely dead for a couple weeks. I may have to cruise out that way and give it a go.
