I roast 300g at a time. My setup, SR800 with OEM extension, BT, ET temp probes connected to 4xTC Phidgets spitting data thru a usb cable to my laptop running Artisan's Roaster-Scope app (donation ware). The OEM Extension makes a huge difference for roast control.

Nice! I did hook up a couple thermocouples and manually logged those temperatures for one roast. The built in temperature sensor seemed to do a good job of estimating roughly halfway between the temps at the base and the top. I can see how automated logging would help a lot.
i have one and it's a big heat sink to me and i wind up spending much more time on getting the thing pre-heated for a roast than i want. i stopped using it and went back to my regular extension tube. no pre-heating required.
This is hands-down, the best video I’ve seen on coffee roasting all year! 🔥

Get the extension and the chaff mod. Makes a world of difference.
I saw that on Sweet Maria’s, but they are out of stock at the moment. I’m on the waitlist!
Get a Razzo Roasting Chamber with the Razzo Chaff collector mod. Much better than the OEM extension tube!
