We did this as our third movement. It was challenging for flutes and clarinets because of fingerlings but boy did we put in a fight learning it! I love marching band!
Not sure how old anyone else on here is...lol I was a flute (switched to baritone) Freshman year (2008) when we did this show, La Nouba. Things were crazy back then and we were a class 5 band.l 😎✌
Thank you so much for this video!!!!! We are playing this one of our marching songs too. I couldn't find the band arrangement anywhere to play along to, but this really helps thank you so much!!!
Measure 47-end of the trombone part is a nightmare... my fellow band members translate A La Lune to mean "kill me now" or "I wanna die" even "end my misery" or "end my suffring"
Yea i bet! My band did this song and made it to Atlantic Coast Championships. We got in top 10's with a score of 88.6. And i have 59 band members including color guard ad main guard.
I remember when I had to run miles in pe and our band would play this for their practice. It definitely got me in the mood.
The tuba part is extremely fun. Its like a bouncing ball. I love how it syncs up with the woodwinds to add a satisfying sound.

I'm doing it for marching band as a bass clarinet
The only hard part honestly is the god dang circus theme
I did it in colorguard and you would not believe how tiring that last part was. We had to do so much stuff so fast!
Trumpet is so fun on this piece!!
Bass clarinet is pretty fun too
I know the parts for both they are REALLY similar
AaRrKi St0n3 They are? That's pretty cool. This our show's closer this year.
this is our second movement. our first is distorted 3rd is reve rouge and 4th is urban
AaRrKi St0n3 our other pieces are Solar, Clarity, and Kinesis
Take a shot every time you cry while trying to learn the mallet part
LITERALLY ME IN BAND BUT I'm actually good at it.
This is our show this year, and my BD hasn't told me which mallet part I'm on yet. I'm terrified and super hype at the same time lol
