It got the point that he was like "well are you coming?" lol I'd never lived with or even spent the night with a man....I was terrified and wanted to go home the first night. I cried like a baby wanting my mom...smh my poor husband had to deal with me acting like a kid at the age of 25. We made it though and we're still going 5 years later...prayerfully many more.

I've been weak in faith due to my current circumstances. I've even questioned God's very existence. I thought there could be no way all these things can happen to one person with an all knowing God. As a believer its hard to remain faithful in the face of despair. No scripture is comforting anymore. My mind has been filled with doubt. I started to seek "truth" since believing in the unseen was no longer appealing to me. Believing is hard, but the alternative is scary. Last night I prayed and asked God to show me He's here and to store my faith. I also begged for forgiveness. For the first time in a long time I slept straight through the night. I'm about to turn 29, and I haven't been in a serious relationship, nor any relationship, for 8 years. The relationship with my high school sweetheart ended in 2008, and she and I were on-again, off-again in 2011, 2012, & 2013, each time getting hurt, putting scars on my heart. This truly got me in tears right now. I needed this, because I am in a LD relationship and the hardest part is waiting (2 years). Thru the struggle i have learned the true meaning of patience. The most beautiful things take the longest to crate. which is why it take 9 months for a baby to be born and 12 hours for the sun to rise. I think the message is that the wait is hard but do things to keep yourself busy in the mean time and let everything fall into place in the back ground. N from the wait you will rep the reward. P.S.. I'm so encouraged by your whole engagement and marriage life. I have this wrist band that is written 'true love waits', given to me by my pastor over a year ago. Many people that notice writing on the band give me responses like; "this only happens in the dream world." "You'll wait until you get old"...and many other comments like that. Sometimes, it got me thinking if it's actually possible to keep yourself (abstain from sex related activities) before marriage, and I find myself compromising on the kind of relationship I'll would want to have; probably kissing is ok. But your life has given me the conviction to stay true to myself, and I'm really appreciative of it.

I love how real Matt and Janette are - especially Janette, like they give such honest answers and I'm really thankful for that. I guess these days as a single person I see so many people getting married and having perfect relationships and I'm just feeling rubbish because I'm single. But this video has really taught me that marriage wont be perfect and you will still have troubles and it encourages me to be patient for I know truly that I'm really not ready for marriage right now lol.

Loved Janette's vows---that's how I landed here. However, I stopped watching after the interviewer indicated women should become 'domestic' and learn to cook/clean before they look for a man. The discussion then stumbled around the idea that marriage partners should support each other equally, but that did not save the blunder for me. How is domesticity related so inherently to a godly partnership? Mutual support and willingness to serve one another in the name of something higher---hell YES. But that has nothing to do with a woman's ability to be 'domestic' (whatever that means). What should a conscious woman do who is seeking to be in a conscious, faith-based partnership? What should ANYONE do, for that matter, man, woman, or otherly-identified? Find the higher power within before you look without. Know that godliness is inside of you and that YOU will always determine your own happiness. Then, find someone who feels the same. Blessed be.

However, the person who actually did submit it was essentially asking about how to handle the mental readiness of a godly relationship without the domestic skills most men look for. If you were offended, we apologize, as our goal is never to do so. But the question wouldn't have been asked differently, because we didn't change any of the other questions that were submitted. Matt & Janette, thank you for sharing the fact that you have degrees; but are forsaking the world's system to trust God for your daily provision. I have been persecuted by mostly "Christians" who a afraid to trust God. God has been teaching me, as a single mother, to forsake the world system and prove my faith in Him. It can be difficult at some times and rewarding at others. Ultimately, it is rewarding and now I am beginning to understand where He is leading me in this process.

I love how real Matt and Janette are - especially Janette, like they give such honest answers and I'm really thankful for that. I guess these days as a single person I see so many people getting married and having perfect relationships and I'm just feeling rubbish because I'm single. But this video has really taught me that marriage wont be perfect and you will still have troubles and it encourages me to be patient for I know truly that I'm really not ready for marriage right now lol.

Thank you sooo much for sharing and being so transparent. I think especially once you've been violated you kind of give up all hope of ever being restored in the area of intimacy. I'm only 22 so I've still got a long way to go but it helps me to know that God will keep working with me and hopefully bring along the right person for me.

These were real people talking about real stuff, I'm not married but I know that it can be difficult getting adjusted to living with another person and then you have that whole element of becoming one. Loved Janette's vows---that's how I landed here. However, I stopped watching after the interviewer indicated women should become 'domestic' and learn to cook/clean before they look for a man. The discussion then stumbled around the idea that marriage partners should support each other equally, but that did not save the blunder for me. How is domesticity related so inherently to a godly partnership? Mutual support and willingness to serve one another in the name of something higher---hell YES. But that has nothing to do with a woman's ability to be 'domestic' (whatever that means).
What should a conscious woman do who is seeking to be in a conscious, faith-based partnership? What should ANYONE do, for that matter, man, woman, or otherly-identified? Find the higher power within before you look without. Know that godliness is inside of you and that YOU will always determine your own happiness. Then, find someone who feels the same. Blessed be.

He asked the question as it was submitted. So you are correct in stating that the question isn't inherently related to godly partnership. However, the person who actually did submit it was essentially asking about how to handle the mental readiness of a godly relationship without the domestic skills most men look for. If you were offended, we apologize, as our goal is never to do so. But the question wouldn't have been asked differently, because we didn't change any of the other questions that were submitted. People wanted to ask them questions directly, and those are the questions that he posed. Again, thanks for watching! God bless :)

This was a great interview. Im sorry to hear her grandmother passed but Im glad she was able to see them get married. I remember her saying she was happy to live to see the wedding. Thank God for preserving her life at least until that day

Matt & Janette, thank you for sharing the fact that you have degrees; but are forsaking the world's system to trust God for your daily provision. I have been persecuted by mostly "Christians" who a afraid to trust God. God has been teaching me, as a single mother, to forsake the world system and prove my faith in Him. It can be difficult at some times and rewarding at others. Ultimately, it is rewarding and now I am beginning to understand where He is leading me in this process.
Apparently sister Janette, you say there are many great God fearing brothers..:-)...well glory to God!
