I really admired Sanbao. He was so loyal to the end to both Ruyi and Ling Yunche. He promised Ling Yunche that he would remember him, and pray and bring offerings every year. I'm sure Sanbao was broken after Ruyi's death. Ruyi treated him well with respect despite him being a eunuch.
And he was even allowed to play with the Princesses, whom I'm sure had a very tragic and lonely childhood. He seemed like a fun-loving uncle with them. One of the few good people in the palace, despite their awful circumstances.

What does wuqi and qiqi mean? I love this series though but not yet familiar of the customs of china.

Wuqi means 5th weeks after her death, qiqi means 7th weeks after, in Chinese culture the spirit will come back within 7 weeks after the death
