this is a secret santa for @Nirmenia. the secret santa exchanged was organized within our group at @darkstarstudios1556.
synopsis:
when sansa arrives back home, she is told she is to marry the man known as ‘the darkling’, who has taken possession of winterfell. he wants to expand the fold, created hundreds of years ago by ‘the black heretic’, to separate winterfell from the rest of the seven kingdoms. it’s the only way to protect them from an imminent danger, or so he claims. he needs her by his side so the northerners will follow him more easily. together, they will be the new king and queen in the north. but sansa sees right through him and knows he’s not the man he claims to be.
happy holidays lea! i hope you like my present to you. i know you like a good villain, and these two characters were on your list, so i thought i could make a video of them for you. you said you are character driven and love the possibility of some of your favorite ones interacting, so i tried to use my creativity to explore what could happen if these two were put in the same universe. i hope you have a wonderful holiday season. you are such a talented vidder with a wonderful imagination. i’m happy to be part of dss with you. 💚

okay so finally I can comment on this absolute masterpiece that you created ❤ I honestly have no words to say how much I love this, but I sure am going to try to find something that adequately expresses how I feel 😍
first off, the pairing!!! you're completely right, I do love a good villain 😂 and our beloved Darkling fits that description oh so well (plus, I just love Ben Barnes' beautiful face). And to pair him with Sansa? absolutely 👏in👏spired👏
also: the song choice is ON POINT. I love it, it matches their energy so well. and the text work you did on this is absolutely stunning! overall the aesthetics of this video just blew me away 😭
and then the voiceovers! the storytelling! ("he's had centuries of lying to naive girls", "we are all we need anyway", "he's a monster"/"make me your villain") i am DECEASED.
and your editing, oh my lord. for example at 0:50 when the shadows take over her face? goosebumps 😭 overall the color matching you did (especially at 1:04 or 2:05) is stunning.
I love that we got each other in this year's Secret Santa. I could not be happier with this wonderful video, and while I still have not quite processed its absolute beauty, I can still watch it 100x more and try to learn everything by heart 😄

wow mais le nombre de pépites présentes dans ton travail à travers ton attention aux détail ? c'est un truc de fou honnêtement -que ce soit les ombres envahissant le visage de sansa à 0:50 pou correspondre aux ombres envahissant la pièce ou les développements de l'histoire synchronisés parfaitement avec les différents moments de la chanson et du rythme, c'est impressionnant et ça nous permet d'entrer à 100% dans cet univers ! et l'histoire avec sansa et le darkling

Ohhh how i love this!! What a masterpiece, i'm absolutely floored. The magical atmosphere you've created, so simple and elegant, with subtle elements supporting the music (like the little shimmer effect at 0:26) and the gentle colouring, is just sublime. It just all works as one whole. Your manips are amazing, working with different angles and those clean cuts with the beat, it all looks so effortless and real and AH. the dramatic rise in tension, the change in the narrative just as the music picks up at 1:09 or 2:17, done with such minimal tools, should honestly be studied.
also i gotta point out the shadows at 0:50, holy shit! literal goosebumps!
