A short but cute 4 mile hiking trail in Escondido, near San Diego. The trail is going along side of Lake Hodges offering a waterfall, some nice bridges and a viewpoint on the top of the hill in front of Bernardo Mountain. Translated into English, Painted Rock, Piedras Pintadas has many information plaques explaining the original indigenous Kumeyaay tribe in the area and plants, animals in the area. Very educational.
