I have ducks and chickens we got rid of the ducks because we couldn't take it anymore they are littteral poop cannons, you just don't know and they smell but they are farm ducks but still
Wrinkle the Duck was next door for about a month here in central Florida...his owner...red shoes and all... was here with Wrinkle, and their white van across the street. We had the pleasure of watching them out in the yard every day... til they left one day. Hoping they come back again, as I get a kick out of watching those two. So funny watching how this duck is so attached to his human.
Hatching a duck is the most rewarding thing I've ever done. When I met my Wobbles peeping at me through the shell, I felt a deeper love than any other pet I've ever had. 💜
As sad as it is that her brothers/sisters didn't make it to the final stage needed, but it's awesome that 1 did, and it's even more awesome that you raised her, god bless you man

I’ve never heard the bird wake up song, but the video said it was in 2.5x speed when they sang the song, so if that was the bird song in normal speed then something isn’t right.

People don't realize when another sentient being is born into a human household, they learn to be....people. Sentient, self aware, communicative and fearless of the human world. Wrinkle! OMG.....that little pip! Those are the LONGEST minutes...but you can hear her loud and clear! Poor tired little wrinkle...but she already hears daddy's voice encouraging her. We used to raise ducks, chicken and pigs (and actually a lot more animals) in my family house. We had a big property with animals. I lived with my grandpa and he would wake me up any time of the night when they started hatching/birthing. As a small child I can say it was very magical, and it thought me to respect living things more.
You must have been so overwhelmed with joy and happiness. What an awesome event to watch right before you eyes. Wrinkle is just adorable! You are a good parent 🙂

Just make sure you realize it is a big commitment. A lot of people get ducks and change their mind, the sad thing is they dump them in lakes ect and they can not survive there. I am very happy that the sweet Wrinkle is having such a great life, his owners are great people.

You might want to get eggs from different providers/farms/locations/sellers to prevent incest, just in case... The offspring can still be affected by incest & have genetic disorders (especially if compounded over multiple generations of incest).
