- I have been wanting to do this mix for what seems like years. I feel like video game soundtracks should legally be required to include jazz covers of their tracks. Until that time, feel free to chill out on this trip down jazz road, veer off into bossa territory, take a slight detour to blues, and then finish the road trip back in true jazz spirit.
This mix features a few covers, a handful of jazz arrangements by the original composers, and some tracks are just normal (bless these games for having jazz tracks).
There are plenty more tracks out there that have jazz vibes and I am dying to hear them all. Feel free to comment which tracks you'd like to hear if I did a part 2 of this!

@@MrStevethefox I believe those were done by some of the original Square musicians
The Duality of the Gamer:
Once upon a time, we stuffed our mouths with Doritos, whose dust covered all surfaces of our battle stations, and drank Mountain Dew, dubstep blasting in our ears while we owned noobs on MW2.
But that was the gamer of yesterday, the only constant in life is change. Today we sit bundled up in a blanket on a cold night, playing games as a brief escape from our work and social lives, exploring the artful medium, sipping a cup of tea and listening to jazz.
Sometimes life is bitter, good and bad times come and eventually go, but sometimes, life is good. I believe that we can enjoy the duality of life and therefore change, and persevere through thick and through thin, as gamers.
I hear this during my working hours. Muchas gracias por compartir.
best gaming jazz ive heard
These are amazing, but you should listen to Celeste's Mirror Temple(5B). It's better than all of these imo.
This is UNBELIEVABLY good!!!
I had just sat down to do some time intensive photoshop, and I was all out of jazz playlists, glad I came across this :)
Glad that this helped you sit down and power through!

El lo que yo siempre digo! Debería haber mas versiones de jazz!!!, esta genial el mix 💕
I think some of you are getting LIKES mixed up with views...over 48K views, but, as an old lady working in a High School, some students are turning me on to BGM for video games..who knew?? Since I'm not a gamer this music is AMAZING. Will be sharing with my "old" friends :-) All the best and nice mix.
I've been using this mix while preparing for finals the last couple of days. Thanks for putting these together! I'll be listening more now :D
Happy sunflower day! I'll enjoy this with my morning reading and coffee ☕ 😊

31:17 The city of Hyrule has seen a lot of criminals these days. Moblin gangs, Stalfos backin' them up, Wizzrobe hacker or two. It's a tough life living in the big city what with these mooks around. And then, there's Kingpin Ganondorf. Rumor has it, he's been secretly pulling the strings of an impending gang war, looking to make a profit on the outcome. But, there's one detective of few words in this town willing to defend what he holds dear. Link. A Private Investigator. Here's hoping he and Mayor Zelda know what to do about all this...
A jazz compilation with no persona tunes?? Thats almost heresy. Love all the covers in this mix, tho.
man, is this copyrighted? i would simply love to use these sounds as background music in my future videos, they are awesome.
Most of these are from video games, and some of the companies like to copyright strike use of their music, and others do not.
This is not legal advice.
Vejo que é um homem de cultura
Surprised to not see a single persona 5 song here
yoo where can I find Chrono Trigger (Jazz Arrangement) - Chrono Trigger only?
looked on youtube but couldn't find the same, nice collection btw
Using this while playing minecraft bedwars is amazing.
Difference for Darkness. Halo.
You absolutely killed it these covers are so cozyyyyyy how would you feel if I used a couple of these covers in a yt video? I wanna give you both on screen credit and caption credit but if you're not comfy with any of that no worries :)
Anyone know where the Eternal Wind cover is from?
SQUARE ENIX JAZZ Vol1 & Vol. 2 - Nobuo Uematsu, Eijiro Nakagawa, Ryu Kawamura
SQUARE ENIX JAZZ - Final Fantasy - Nobuo Uematsu, Eijiro Nakagawa, Ryu Kawamura

Hi! It came from one of the Square Enix Jazz Arrangement albums. Last time I checked, they were on RUclips but not any other streaming platforms:
SQUARE ENIX JAZZ Vol1 & Vol. 2 - Nobuo Uematsu, Eijiro Nakagawa, Ryu Kawamura
SQUARE ENIX JAZZ - Final Fantasy - Nobuo Uematsu, Eijiro Nakagawa, Ryu Kawamura
I can't find the Not Alone Arrangement (FFIX) anywhere on RUclips or Spotify... Who did that one?

@@BrokenDanceCircuit Hi, thanks for the response! It looks like that album and especially this song I'm looking for aren't on RUclips anymore. This video might be one the only places to find it.
So the picture never changes? That might be something to think about.
It was supposed to... but the rendering process didn't come out right and that would be another 14 hours....
Maybe you could have the genre of Renaissance next?
you should check out my video "Crystal Chronicles" it's got hurdy-gurdies which is very Renaissance/Medieval-y
@@BrokenDanceCircuit I'll do that!
.
Listen to this on 1.5 speed 44:20 - Remote Hot Spring Where Hunters Gather - Monster Hunter: The Jazz
some of these songs arent jazz >_>
yep! thanks for noticing that some of them are more Bossa-y or blues-based but they have all have similar instrumentation and tie-ins that worked really well together for this video!
