  • Richard from Dailey's Walk-Behind Tractors demonstrating the Caravaggi BIO 150 Chipper Shredder. Of the 3 models of Chipper/Shredders we sell (BIO 80, BIO 100, BIO 150), the BIO 150 is by far the largest and the fastest at both chipping and shredding. The stuff we chipped in this video could have been completed in about 6 or 7 minutes if we were trying to work fast. NOTE: Although these chipper shredders are not technically "self-feeding" chippers, you should note that there are multiple times in this video that the limbs chip themselves. Most of the time I did not need to hold the limb at all as it guides itself in. But once the branch widens toward the end, that will cause it to sit in the chipper chute where it begins to taper. Due to the angle and the extra long height of the chipper chute on the BIO 150 it does the best job at allowing material to "self-feed". The tractor we ran the chipper on was the Grillo G131 with 18HP Vanguard engine. Any questions email or call. Thanks for watching!

I have a BIO 150 used on a BCS 749 with a 13 hp Honda. I've used it for a year and have had zero issues after 54 hours of chipper/shredder use. The chipper will really chip 3" black gum, oak, and crepe myrtle. The only times it has ever "bogged" was when the belts on chipper needed adjustment, which was roughly at the 25 hour mark. The adjustment only takes a few minutes. I have a huge Wallenstein chipper which never gets used anymore. Anything larger than 3.5" becomes firewood anyway. I have been very pleased with my BCS and all the implements I have used. I am not affiliated with Dailey's or BCS.

Those boots and shorts are the debris catcher 2000 guaranteed to have you shaking wood chips from your boots every few minutes.

How much will it reduce leaves? Have to pay to dispose by the yard. And would the smaller units reduce by the same amount just at a slower pace. Very interested in these but there is no aerator or stump grinder right?

Hi. Yes, we sell a stump grinder and a leaf blower to run on our BCS or Grillo 2 wheel tractors. It will certainly chop up the leaves, especially if the unit has serrated knives in the shredding chamber as opposed to blunt rectangular flails. We don't sell the latter unless customer specifically requests it. I have never done a specific test to see what the reduction ratio is...but I have customers who chop leaves to use as mulch in their growing beds.

It will chip them up just fine. We don't have many pines in my area, but some of my customers do and they work well with pine...We have plenty of cedar in my area and those are no problem for it. Those softer woods are not a problem.
