once they tried to add more buses to achieve 30-second headway on Corridor 1 about 30 buses form a long queue to Blok M Terminal which only fit 2 buses
of course jam lol , one in one out ... the newer ones are either 2 x 2 wide or have dedicated lane for turning... also have wider "buffer" for the bus to stack to exit

Probably because of alot of ppl crossing the T-junction between Ave 5 & Central 2 (through which 13 bus services are funneled through from Tampines Bus Int), reducing the green light time for the buses to exit the Int via Central 2 & onto Ave 5.
Buses exiting the interchange need to turn @ 2-3 T-junctions before reaching their next bus stops, & @ the former, they have to give way to pedestrians & oncoming traffic. If there're a lot of them, that'll subtract a lot from the green light time given to pass thru these junctions
Absorbed Boy the reason i hated it again is because these buses come seriously late, suffers from overloading syndrome once it reaches Hougang in the morning and LTA back-tracking their words given to me last year - full double-decks on weekday mornings after my email complaint on the overcrowding. Since LTA currently has a boatload of spare double decks piled up at Bulim (ND323F A95) and SBS holding lots of spare buses at their depots too, they should inject more into 72 to ease the crowding, because on multiple occasions the buses had to skip stops with lots of commuters waiting.
