Same I can hit perfect on HOF difficulty with release cue. Then I go park and I feel like my internet is from 2001. The lag spikes for me in park are so frustrating I can't find the cue.
They also dropped a patch anyway that's changed the timing again can't even have fun playing MyNBA because of whatever 2K touched Dwight and Hibbert are missing wide open layups like 2K18
For me it's just a matter of latency - I will probably use push (late) for mycareer nba games and i'll try jump (very early) or set point (early) depending on the lag online (rec or park).
If you get good with very early I swear it feels like you can shoot any shot..when I was locked in and focused playing 2K23 I was making front fades from three with 72 3pt 😂
Yea I think I’m gonna switch to jump. I be been using Set Point and I’m at around 50% from 3. But it looks like Jump in this video is where you release the button when he brings the ball to the top of his head and that’s what I’m used too. It’s a MUCH easier cue to look for

Not sure if this is what you meant but you can change the “Pro Stick Function” in the controller settings to Dribble Moves will disable the right stick shooting and you can just use X/Square to shoot.

Did they take the snatchback out the game? Holding R2 and flicking down leads to a snatchback animation, but i can't tell if you can chain it like last year
If you pause the video at :56. This is the visual cue. Almost all shots line up for that green window. As 'Release' is just hitting that 'green window' mark, 'Very Late'. But all is around the same, or that 500-565ms, window.

I got this game and i don't like it. The shot bar is a millisecond whether i make a shot or miss and its hard to dunk on this game even when wide open. Why did they make shots and dunks so damn hard?!?!
I’m having the same issues, and I go by cue. I was having games going 10/11, 8/8. I mean I couldn’t miss. Ever since the patch, it feels like my shot is never consistent. Within games. One shot, it feels like my cue was lined up. Next it doesn’t but I green it. I have no idea what this could be, and I don’t think it’s just a lack of latency.
For those whose post hood got worse after the patch it may be time to look for a different cue. I was able to shoot them effectively off “feel” but since timing is more strict iv gone to looking at my players feet. When your guy jumps and lands to begin the post hop that’s when you let it go. Seem to be improving as time goes on

I just “jump”. I just picked up the game on discount during Christmas and I’m getting alot of greens on 86 3pt. I feel like jump makes it’s go faster.
