Well I don't wanna say that u got the story wrong or anything u explained the 80% of the last act accurately but u skipped the most important part when we choose caracters to play through their memorys itu memorys says that there is no real or copy decendent our caracter represents the light and is the original decendent while the final boss ( stranger ) who claims to be original it also true but he is from a different multiverse and is the dark version of our caracter just like shadow faught his dark version before facing titan so I think u did a great story explanation but u skipped the main part. And one last thing our caracter didn't existed in this world so menemos used the memory power to bring us there as in sf3 univerce there are some ruels which are absolute one of those rule is no one can beat the Decendent that's why our caracter was the perfect and only counter to the last boss
