What makes the game boring is that we get an awesome quest like Daisy and Minnie wanting their clothing line to be sold at Scrooge's shop, but then we didn't get any new clothes?!?!? That was such a missed opportunity! I wish some of these quests actually meant something.
Totally agree with this. At the very least, they should have added ten pieces for their line with more being added with future updates. It was weird to have that storyline and not have anything come from it.
It just bugs me that the quest was to get their clothes in Scrooge's, but daisy owns a clothing shop why would she want or need to sell her clothes in Scrooge's?
The game feels more like a p2w beauty contest then a game now. More focus on the premium store items and dreamsnaps instead of the story. I used to be so excited to open new realms and unlock new characters a few years ago. Now I'm indifferent at best which is really heartbreaking. It feels like most of the magic and wonder has been lost.
I want a continuation of the main story! I have been playing since EA 2022. It seems crazy that the forgotten is still aimlessly roaming my village and Skull Rock is still just sitting there.
I never even understood the conclusion of ch. 1. If we have repaired the damaged part of ourself that split off, why didn't it rejoin with us and make us whole again--our forgetting and our remembering being two halves of the same whole, two sides of a coin, if you will. I don't understand why my divided consciousness still has a physical form (or why it ever did) and why it still interacts with Mickey and friends. I'm with you. There was no conclusion, really, and now Jafar is locked in a temple for people who bought the DLC, so that first storyline seems to have been considered closed. And Skull Rock... those potatoes and their potions that had zero clues as to how/why we should make them... all so that a rock would make a noise. SMH
I do think the premium shop is running the game. I think the game should not release as many items in the shop. We get no clothing. I just want more story. And I mean the main story quest. The forgotten story was great. I want the pirate cove. Increasing levels of friendship. Increase our level cap. Give me reasons. To spend time with old villagers. It’s very boring.
I’ve been logging in only to get crap items in Scrooge shop and then leave lol besides it being super broken on switch. I’m just like not interested without the story 🤷♀️
We paid to play and now we are paying more to play. The constant shoving of "buy this, buy that" and lack of creativity is, frankly, getting distasteful. I thought the whole button thing was boring, repetitive and lack luster. If I wanted to be forced to bake 50 cupcakes a day and then hand deliver them, I'd open a bakery. And, come on, the Daisy quest took about 3 minutes. There was NO creativity, no adventure, no fun. The boutique is a rip off. We shouldn't have to continually earn Daisy coins if we want to design the same dress in different colors, etc... Either give us the article of clothing, or don't. The daily challenge has no originality, no creativity, just dump a pile of random stuff from your inventory on the stage and call it a day. Honesty, I've stopped playing because of the above and because of the glitches. Last week I was in literal tears over the problems with getting my dreamsnap done. I actually dread this week and may not do it. I spend my time playing Palia and, even though it is still in beta, I LOVE THAT GAME. I can enjoyably play Palia for 16 hours a day as I suffer from chronic pain and can't do anything other than sit in my chair.
Honestly I'm done with the game for now. The reward for the last community challenge was the last straw for me. Daisy's shop doesn't interest me, I don't do multiplayer, the story for both the valley and eternity isle are at a stand still, and there are still way to many issues with game functionality. I might come back in a few months but for now I'm playing other games.
That rewards was also getting me into my other games again. Just because I was so disappointed. And I did the aliens toy quest at the same time and that reward is also so stupid. I had to close my game🙈
I'm beginning to wonder if they've cut down staff and are just in pure "milk the customer" mode right now. I just don't foresee them spending a lot of resources on making free stuff.
They can easily add more characters per update. At this rate it will be 2027 before we even see Timon, Pumbaa, Cinderella & Wreck-it Ralph, who were all in the teasers.
Problem is Disney/gameloft thinks content is making things so tedious it takes forever. Instead of giving us content to make it feel like it’s worth it. Like the crab fishing for example. If it wasn’t a pain and felt more rewarding I would fish constantly but instead they make their challenges tedious to try to drag out their star path. Instead of making it more engaging they were like feed the villagers 10 times. They have no drive to make it rewarding anymore
As much as I'm enjoying Sleuthing what new items might show up to the Premium Shop, scaling it back to 1-2 new items a week, 1-2 Repeat Starpath Items and the rest of the 8 slots being repeat past Premium items for people who missed out on them the first round would be really really nice! As it is, I have to pick and choose and let certain items go as I can't get them this week ... especially if my Dreamsnap doesn't do so well.
I think the main reason people are starting tor esent the premium shop is because of the constant lack of new content in scrooge's shop. even though the PS is truly only cosmetic items (obvi not including the wall-e and ursula bundles) and genuinely doesn't add any new quests, etc, players feel like they have to buy from the PS because there's nothing left in Scrooge's.
I totally agree with this. I was trying to collect all of the items in the premium shop too, but it’s got to a point where I’m spending $30 or more A WEEK… that’s insane! And I’ve stopped trying to buy everything because of the price. So I’ve stopped being a collector. It’s a total money pit atp. I still love the game, but I totally agree with the post you talked about!
What they could do as well is make weekly quests to earn moonstones, seeing as many of us (me included) wish there were more ways to earn more moonstones than just dreamsnaps and the daily blue chest, especially now that there are more and more premium item. This might give people incentive to do those quest and earn those moonstone that they could then use in the premium shop. It would also be nice if some of the premium items unlock some type of special quest from time to time that add to the story. I'm also still waiting to know what the deal is with Skull Rock like many others I mean it's been almost a year and that place is still a mystery.
Serroh, I quit playing the game, but I enjoy hearing you so I still follow you. Too much aggravation at my age...lol. (74) It was in my mind going to be a wonderful game but turned into a nightmare... and money lost for the expansion. Oh well, maybe one day it will be fixed, then I will consider coming back. In the mean time continue doing the great job you are doing!
I, too, am 74, playing since beginning but now excitement is gone..too much on dream snaps, play on switch so can't decorate much. Check it out now once a week for about 15 minutes. Play other games
I agree 10000% on this. It becomes very frustrating when the Moonstones are so difficult to obtain and there are so many things in the premium shop that should be available to all. Not all items I guess, but a lot should be available without having to unlock it/spending $. The game has become boring for me. I've been playing for over 1 yr now, and I'm legit running out of things to do. I've maxed all the players. Aside from buying stuff from Scrooge's shop every day, what else can we do?
Love discussions like this! Would love to see more. I 100% agree!! it would of been great to have a special limited time event to earn the previous star path items and to give the game a fresh feeling like there’s something actually happening mid way through the update not just having it become stale and dependent on premium shop. I would love to see more quest bundles like they mentioned - heihei would of been a perfect quest bundle + it’s costs more moonstones to buy a bundle so the game would be earning more so is it just laziness or time constraints stopping new story and quest content?
Yeah, I'm really, really frustrated with the game right now. It feels like all of the effort is going to the premium shop. Everything other than the PS feels so half-hearted. Quests, star path, story content... Everything feels so lazy. And them leaving the game broken for WEEKS without a fix while still asking for so much money every single week in the shop is a complete joke.
I agree. I am finding it hard to be excited to log in daily and really not have anything to do. I have tons of coins, etc., so just grinding to be grinding is just not that much fun for me. Also the cost of the shop these days is a real financial pain, so being able to earn some would be great.
Oh most definitely! I enjoy the Premium Shop, but it’s definitely become the main focus, which irritates me personally. I’ve said it before on Reddit, those Park Clock Set that recently was in the Premium Shop would’ve been a PERFECT reward to earn for the Park Fest Event. Instead they give us Blueberries!🤦🏻♂️ Also, what happened to the continuation of the Main Story? or did we complete the Main Story with the Forgetting, and so now any additional story we want is the DLC’s? They really don’t explain anything thoroughly, only when they do those Showcases or Videos. Personally they should be doing those with EVERY UPDATE. The game is feeling tired 🥱 and it’s showing.
I love Disney, truly I do, but the reputation for this company is so low right now. Some things I actually agree on about it, as well. While these issues towards the Disney company growing aren’t directly related to Gameloft’s development of this game, the market towards Disney isn’t as wide as they think right now. Public opinion isn't very great for the company right now. It isn’t good for Gameloft to be playing fast and loose with monetization where it’s the "live now (in-game monetizing their players) and pay later (losing their core fanbase and closing development because no one will pay to play anymore) mentality" that will burn out players, burn out development, and destroy their reputation for this game. I think the mentality that name brand of Disney alone will carry this game for years to come but unfortunately if it’s not listened to by the core-fanbase who will eventually jump ship in a year or two if Gameloft only focuses on in-game monetization on a game that you already have to purchase. There will still be players, of course, but if not enough people care anymore..that's a dying game. It’s not like Fortnite where it’s too popular to fail even with in-game purchases. I love Disney Dreamlight valley, I’m nearing 300 hours and it’s what I play when I wake up and sometimes play before I go to sleep! I made an in-game app purchase just the other day for the Snuggly Duckling house skin because it’s AMAZING. But I feel like it will show a lack of respect towards fans if Gameloft continues down this path of focusing mainly on premium shop 😞 Here’s hoping they listen to us and understand our frustrations!!
i've been playing since EA, and have really gone back and forth on my opinions on DDLV throughout! but right now i'm burned out, bored and definitely feeling justified in my anger in their decision to not go F2P. I always go back to the fact they said main story would not ever be paywalled, but that's exactly what we're seeing with the lack of forgotten quests and the only story quests being tied to DLC. disappointed by not surprised at this point!
Warning, incoming rant: I've said this since the beginning of early access... everything will be behind a paywall and all content will be centered around a paywall because Gameloft has a reputation for greed beyond the scope of other gaming publishers. And a year and a half later here we are just as I predicted. Even Dreamsnaps is gravitating toward premium shop items. Gameloft has done the minimum with DDV. For a game centered around decorating... the decor tools are lame, decor placement is lame, and the camera movement for decorating is lame. I could live with the greed and poor content if only the decor tools were decent. They won't even take the time to center items or the wallpapers on a grid. For those who think that the decor placement tools are good should check out decor tools in games like Palia, Enshrouded, or Nightingale. It's not a complicated system to develop and you can decorate easily with a controller of any type. I've never bought Moonstones and will not. There are too many good games to be bothered by Gameloft's greed and lazy game development. The only thing DDV has going for it is cuteness and great graphics.
I think it's pretty obvious that the focus of Gameloft is how to get as much money from us as often as possible. I know this stuff is somewhat to be expected by most companies but it would be one thing if the game was running smoothly on all platforms. It isn't. There are SO MANY quality of life things that they could be doing or should have, but the focus is just "how little do we have to do so that we can continuously bleed the players for money constantly". As much as I love this game, I can defnitely see my interest trailing off if they don't put a lot more effort into making the game good. Most of us already have tons of resources and we're just kinda waiting for interesting things to do, which decorating and Touch of Magic (which honestly is cool but not appealing to everyone) is pretty much it. New items you have to buy with money weekly being the main draw is not a formula for success, and they'll find out.
Damn even when I played marvel strike force, they still made new character skins obtainable without spending a penny just by playing the game A LOT, this game has no right to have as many in-app purchases as it does when it’s not a free game. Completely agree some of these items should be locked behind a quest, even making the max character level 20 & putting more items behind levelling them up
I'm not sure it's ruining the game, but they are leaning on it quite a bit. I get they have to make money and that's the easiest way, I do however think they could either raise the max level for characters or give past characters a few more quests down the line because honestly once a character is maxed the only reason to go see them again is if you need their "specialty" to help finish any quest for a star path (mine or fish or harvest). Even maybe throw in a few new blueprints for us to work towards, how many of us have visited prince Erics house after completing those blueprints? There are ways to both make money and also keep storylines, quests and the lore going so people don't get bored I just don't know if we'll see it.
For example I think for the character skins they should have quests where you need it like magic mickey having a magic show and needing the skind. Or the great goofini putting on a show.
I think they are getting greedy as well I get they're trying to run a company but as much as we paid for the game moon stones should not be as expensive as they are, I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of buying moonstones, or give us other ways to earn moonstones as well
Every single update definitely gears more towards the premium shop now and its kinda dumb. Why would i spend real money towards moonstones at this point if im so bored with every other aspect of the game now. This game is just about grinding and spending money. I genuinely love this game, been playing since day one when it was still free but ive just gotten so bored .....
I no longer look forward to playing the game…and that makes me sad. And, I feel like it will be years before they add fun characters, like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. There’s so much GL could do to make this game better.
Since the Daisy update I really feel the Premium shop has been quite overwhelming. I have been lucky enough to get 4k for several weeks and I still can't get everything in the shop like before. Which I am fine with, but along with all the bugs, crashing, lack luster event, and the star path with a lot of filler I just haven't wanted to play. I hope the Mulan update has some real fixes and some solid content.
I think they put to much into the premium shop instead of making actually content better such as testing out their game and fixing bugs instead of making premium items and it’s just way to much and making it so we are very low on moonstones
Heck, they could give us quests to earn extra moonstones, then we could get things we want. But I feel like the Forgotten quest line got forgotten. Like I feel like it just ended.... and I hate feeling like its just hanging. But more importantly, if they charge us for the game and expansions, they should give us more basic content [though I just found they added more recipes, and we did get more scramblecoin ranking....]
Kind of would be nice to add a level-up system, or in our avatar's case, continue after Level 40. Similar to how they do in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, as you level up you are gifted with miscellaneous things like coins and even leaf tickets, which play a part in the games' premium items from special events they set for every month, just to set an example. Dreamlight Valley could do a similar leveling system for our avatar, where as you level up, you could be gifted with moonstones, coins, and even crafting or foraging items. It'd be a slight bump-up rather than constantly buying large amounts of moonstones just to pay a ridiculous amount for items that are sometimes not even worth the price. Much like their other game, Disney Magic Kingdoms, they have a season pass where you perform various tasks: daily, weekly, sometimes special events when new content drops. With every task completed, you're rewarded with items and chests filled with random goods, even gems (which are part of premium shops in the game) Anyway, I'm rambling. I love this game very much, but I too feel like it needs more to keep me tethered to play longer than half and hour just to see what's new at Scrooge's shop and find 1-2 chests lying around the valley and call it a day
I want more story! The premium shop I don't have a huge problem with, but I think the resources they used on Daisy's shop were a bit of a waste since we can't use TOM items in Dreamsnaps, a lot of us don't bother with them. I've been playing since day 1 and am a totally solo player, so no one would see anything I did anyway aside from Dreamsnaps. They could've used that time to make more clothing items for Scrooge's Store (seriously, I do not understand how we're not getting more clothing items each update), give some other mini quests, or just focus on general quality of life improvements.
I agree. It is more about getting new items and honestly im so behind in story and building bc I feel like im always doing side quest. It makes me not want to play anymore as often. For the star path im just trying to get the items I want most and moving on. Im not paying for moonstones
100% more story line! Sure, it's nice to have more things in the premium shop but they could maybe have 2 new things and 2-4 old things. (still making them money) That's way more than enough. This game should not be a marathon of items (ones we don't even have room for!) it should be entertaining. Currently it's quickly lacking in the entertainment part.
The thing I think would be nice for updates is adding items that are already interiorly built (ex: pizza planet where we can enter), v8 cafe already having an interior design…stuff like that, not so many house skins too…we have soooo many already😅
So what I’m HOPING is that with making a different premium store lay out, they felt they needed to add more to keep the shop interesting for old and new players and that soon the “featured items” will have old items that either match the season like summer Merlin or something players bought more then other things instead of just new stuff. I’m not holding my breath and won’t be surprised if I’m wrong, but that’s what I hope happened, and that with that extra “fill the gap” thought process handled, in the next few updates, we’ll get more game stuff and less premium shop pieces.
I'm on the precipice of quitting the game. At this point, I only play the update and the star path. I feel like the game become greed focused. I know they need to make money. I get that. The amount of real world dollars you would have to spend to purchase the new stuff in the premium shop every week is insane. I have bought moonstone packages. The recent updates have been very lackluster. Daisy's quest line was ridiculously easy. I finished it in a couple hours with very little effort. Then there is the state of the game with the enormous amount of bugs and glitches. I have had the game since the moment it was released. I am on the Switch. I have never had a problem with my game, until this update and then the hot fix. I do not crash, but my game is still virtually unplayable. It's unfortunate. I don't play this game because it's Disney. I could care less about that. It could be completely innocuous characters and I would play the game. I like the concept of the game and it used to keep me engaged and playing every single day even as I waited for new updates. Now I could care less. I have to force myself to start the game just to submit a dreamsnap or maybe check Scrooge's shop. I really hope they turn things around.
Premium Shop isn’t solely what’s ruining the game. It’s a big part of it but also It’s Gamelofts lack of addressing issues and not compensating their players. They use their players as a constant cash grab. The premium used to not be that bad when we got 1 new item a week. Now it’s 3-4 new items each week. You HAVE to get 4k every single week to maybe break even with premium shop. It’s also super annoying when 90% of these premium items should have been just in Star Paths, friendship quests, or regular quests.
im lucky to have enough moonstones left after a starpath to literaly buy the next starpath with if im lucky a few hundred moonsstones left. not enough to purchase anything tho
I would LOVE to do star path together with people, I usually finish the star path within a the first few days. So being able to do other people's star path would be fun! I'll be honest as much as I want and enjoy new characters coming to the game what I do NOT like is having to find a new space for their houses and ruin what I've already designed. IF they want to focus on decorating over story, keep characters living in their own realms, but let them come visit? Or let us CHOOSE which characters to keep in our valley and EI and which to live in their own realms. *cough Maui* *cough*. Don't get me wrong I LOVE having more items in the premium shop but I am also getting really bored of the game. What happens to forgotten? when will we stop Jafar? Or join him? Become the forgotten? Would be a lot more fun. I thought Daisy's entrance into the valley was VERY lazy.
Having them stay in their realms or choosing which characters do is such a great idea!! There’s so many characters I’d love to see but then I think where the heck would I put them?? 😂
I’m inclined to agree there is a lot more hype about the premium shop and the game itself has lost it’s way and taken some of the fun away from the game itself
missed my first daisy reset last night. forgot about doing it at midnight until just after i turned off the game and TV to get ready for bed and at first i was like, "shoot should i turn it all back on and di it real quick. it'll be close to 1am by then". but i decided i'd let it go and get a nice reset time "tomorrow" (today). i just get the quest done and leave. don't really want anything after getting her dress, which is really nice but a pain to put motifs on. other than a quick trip into scrooge's shop, daisy's daily is about the only thing worth logging on for every day. other reasons are dreamsnap and i'm still waiting for the day i get the new pillow for the last fragment item i've made the suggestion of having villagers doing what their job title is as a "job" also
I’m one of the players that completes the star path and new update quests within a week. But I can’t blame Gameloft for that because they give us ample time to take our time with both. I even said with this last update that I would take my time and in 5 days, I was back to nothing but replenishing resources. My fault. Lol
I wish I could even see the premium shop LOL haven't been able to play a single day since update 10. 🤷🏾 Dreamloft just doesn't care about PlayStation users
Blue chests and Dreamsnaps. If you're lucky enough to be able to locate your blue chest daily and submit a photo with minimum requisite tags to weekly Dreamsnap challenge, that's a guaranteed 650 moonstones per week. (50*7)+300
It is a bit disheartening. The premium items are absolutely beautiful. But yeah I’m not impressed with the lack of game play, or play to earn items. There’s just no reason to load up the game currently. Even the star path items seemed lesser quality than premium.
I agree completely, since we currently have no Mulan themed Clothing and Furniture in-game, I think they're gonna need to do more for this Mulan update than simply adding a few new Premium Shop/Starpath items.
The game is becoming really boring. There are so many Disney characters that they could also add more characters each update. I have only been playing to do dreamsnaps for the past month or two. I haven’t even been motivated to do the star path. They have to make the game fun again and make us want to play every day. New friendship levels new levels for our character new items in Scrooge. For the game being fully released I just have higher expectations then what they are doing and how they are handling bugs.
Having a quest to find Hei Hei would have been so cool! Something like the rainbow fox would be amazing too. I am also kinda bored. I don’t even do the quests anymore. I just go in the Scrooge Store become of FOMO and that is about it.
I understand when you have a DLC, you are expected to add on to the game in a good way, make sure its complete, etc. The issue I have is...we never had a complete game in the first place...they should not have expanded the game until we had a finished game. They spend so much time making sure the premium shop and the DLC are not bugged(the oswald glasses got a fix in no time) and are making them money...where is the finished story on what we all originally bought? why is it not the number one priority? It really becomes a show of how much of a cash grab this has become instead of making a successful, finished game. I dont want it to become something that just doesnt have an end. It feels like an indie game, when its a huge company, backed by a GIGANTIC company. If the feedback gets too bad, they may even lose future licensing...they need to step up and understand that fixing the game itself, then creating a base story(beginning to END) is what needs to be done. If they come out with another DLC, I will be outraged. They arend doing anything with the money I've already invested in the game, why should they get more. I am a daily player, someone who even hosts little treasure valleys, but I am reaching my breaking point. If they dont listen to the people in their discord(who they ask opinions of) and continue down this path, they will doom themselves.
I like Daisys Boutique, but I wish we had more spaces in the wardrobe for tom items. Also it would be nice if we could earn moonstones from the boutique
I wish they said something about fixing the game of the crashing 😒 i still can't play the game. I miss alot of the dreamsnap but hope we hear something soon
I feel like it would bring more exciting things to the gsme if they gave us a day to pick new tasks from a list of things every week that lead to new items and still do Wednesday premium shop, just do new task days on Fridays, that way some of us can have time on the weekend to get them done before new ones come out
I agree with all you said in this video, Serroh. I would not sqying it's boring, My opinion is, it is annoying, because of the premiumshop. And because of all issues with Bugs .
Yea I feel like it is ruining the game casue it’s like very expensive especially for items that would fit for a theme we have for biomes also I want more stories and interesting stuff for the characters to say also I keep getting boring and repetitive thing in Scrooge shop so it would be nice for more items
I only actually play DDV on reset day, and that's just valley clean up/item replenishing. The only time I actually spend real time on it anymore is when new characters/quests are brought in. Mostly I log in for a few minutes to check Scrooge's Store and then shut it off.
Animal Crossing (other than the Happy Home Paradise expansion) has no micro transactions. Everything is earned and paid for using in game currency. My other new favorite, Palia, only has micro transactions for clothing/costumes and everything else is earned by completing quests (there's tons of them), by leveling up characters, or by selling items you forage, hunt or fish. DDV should take notes and incorporate that into their game.
I would like a longer star path. I like the repetition of it. Since it falls around updates it’s nice to have something predictable. I have two accounts. I completed parksfest in both in a couple days. Finished both star paths a week ago. A lot of people myself included like to 100% games. I long accepted I can’t at this point. I still love to play and will be here as long as new characters occasionally come. I’m a Disney fanatic and this is my happy place when I can’t hike or go to the parks.
I've been low energy with the game since Christmas. I bought the DLC and didn't even play it til after Valentines. Idk, I still like doing dreamsnaps, but I think I need a little break from the tedious tasking. Maybe if multi-player is expanded with quests/weekly bonuses or something 🤷♀️
I haven't been able to complete the Daisy challenges recently, even when I have all the correct tags for the correct things, it doesn't check them all off. I've double and triple checked that everything was right but for some reason it won't check everything off.. and I agree we need more quests and such for the game. Also y'all remember the kristoff suit we got in the premium shop a few weeks ago? I really wish they would've just made that a new dream style for kristoff instead because what the heck do we need that suit for? I mean some people may like it and that's cool too but I'd love to have more dream styles for the characters, personally.
I'd also love more things like Beast's flower stand and Moana's fishing boat. I'd love for them to add at least some of the 7 dwarfs and they have a stand like Beast's and Moana's but instead of fish or flowers, they'd have things from the vitalis mines.
I am really enjoying the premium shop. I don't feel I have to have everything, but it is fun to browse and choose. With that said, it would be nice to have a bit more content and good quests with good rewards for the ones that have been doing the game for a while.
I’m feeling like this roadmap is a bust. I thought we were supposed to get more main story, an Act II. We’re only getting new character quests now. Even the main story quest for Eternity Isle was so short with the last update. I expect Mulan and Tiana updates will be on par with Daisy, and I desperately hope the next road map will have Act II. I really miss the non realm updates also being story updates.
I think it depends on what you enjoy. I like the dreamsnaps, designing, and getting new decorations. I don't enjoy new characters and leveling them up. I get bored giving them gifts and 50 flowers, or farming. Milan is my least favorite Disney movie. I like the end but that mindset is outdated.
I think they wanted to have the multiplayer be more like helping each other with tasks but with all the bugs they are probs waiting to fix that and see what happens with the next wave of add ons
I’m wondering what’s happening with Jafar. The sky opened up and that’s it? We’re not going to do anything more about this in this last update? I’ve only had one door since they came
I reckon for the amount of premium items there are we need some more ways to get moonstones or multiple dreamsnaps challenges a week so we can get a few tries to get more moonstones since no matter how well some of us make them look we end up with basically nothing or make the basic star path cheaper cause you need 2500 for that but 3700 for some houses etc which makes it difficult to get what u want without spending heaps of money which i know is the point but still
I’ve been so frustrated with all the glitching and crashes that I haven’t even been playing. I even updated my system to a steam deck because I thought some of it was switch issues, but it’s still happening. The last star path wasn’t very exciting to me either and the daisy/Oswald update seemed lacking. The Oswald quests took like half a day and then the story is in limbo again for months… it’s kind of frustrating that the friend rewards for characters are still including 500/1000 coins when most players have plenty. I’d prefer some of these items (like hei hei!) could be part of the character quest lines instead. It very much seems like GL is focusing on trying to get people to spend cash for moonstones and the story has gone to the back burner.
And we got a lot of monsters inc stuff in Scrooge’s but it seems like there’s no new content in there anymore. I’ve been playing six months and I’ve bought everything 🤷🏻♀️
Since decorating is so hard on the switch, i feel like it would get boring because its no point to play when im at Level 10 with characters and/or done with the stories. Im not there yet, but this star path i felt like whats the point to collect items when im not going to be able to decorate with them anyways. Im a bigger fan of the skins, and clothing because those i might actually use
Interesting discussion. I do think they have gone a bit too far with the premium shop. Before we used to run out of items to buy which wasn't great either but now it's gone too far the other way. I think the amount of new items per week was good before just if it didn't run out before the update. I think we had gotten used to being able to get everything in the premium shop from snap rewards. I don't think it's unreasonable to not be able to get everything without real money, it just needs to be a little more balanced. I hadn't considered instead of premium shop if some of those items were via content. I think that would be great as content is really lacking at the moment
I never use the premium shop mainly becuse 1. I don’t want to clutter up the valley to the point that I can’t have the next characters in there and 2. I want to play the game offline becuse I’m an offline gamer and I want to relax in my own.
I also think it's all about buying premium shop items and dreamsnaps (to the point they put dreamsnaps in the starpath). They make it so hard to play on switch with the crashes and freezing. The invisible items. Designing is hard on switch so I don't do the Daisy challenges. I hate the push for touch of magic when you can't use them in dreamsnaps and you tear apart a build to take a picture. I don't like how this game is now its boring.
I bought the DLC, I thpught we'd get eternity isle related items in Eric house like blueprints we could buy from his again, what about Moanas boat on the isle as well, to help out with gathering fish, we got goofys stall and scrooges shop why not those??? Why not redoing the foraging task for characters, what about secret quests, how about a major update for scrooges shop like a bunch of clothing and furniture
I think if they added more items into the game vs putting them all in the premium shop, it wouldn't be an issue. The problem is they don't add any new content that we can do continuously and get decent rewards. The in game rewards are nothing in comparison to the premium shop items. It's very obvious at this point they just want us to spend real money instead of rewarding us to play the actual game which is extremely boring and feels like a slap in the face to the community. Instead of an escape from the real world, it's the same greed we see everyday in real life.
I absolutely hate that the premium shop is 8 items/bundles every week now. Yes, in theory it should make items repeat more frequently so we don't have to wait so long for them if we missed out on them the first time. But in reality they're pushing so many new premium shop items, that they take up most of the spots and we don't have more returning items at all compared to when it was changing between 4 and 8 bundles. It's just one big cash grab on Gameloft's part.
The premium shop is too expensive, I'm being very careful what I buy. They should increase the dreamsnaps rewards for top 1000 etc that would be a incentive to buy stuff. We definitely need more weekly quests that aren't repetitive the cup cake one could have been different characters or mix them up a bit and have different cakes it takes a lot of resources everyday and buying ingredients is expensive too esp for newer players.
This focus on premium shop is really disruptive for switch players. We are so limited with lower item counts and the surge of premium shop is going to end playing early for switch players because we will max out way too quickly. My valley is 10 over every day with spawns and the isle will be there before long. No point in buying items we can’t place.

The popcorn squirrel could have been a final prize for making all the popcorn buckets
Agreed 💯
Yes, this!!!
Wow i never really thought of that! That would’ve been a PERFECT reward!
I was extremely confused when I finished that quest last night lol
It just bugs me that the quest was to get their clothes in Scrooge's, but daisy owns a clothing shop why would she want or need to sell her clothes in Scrooge's?
Agreed! I horded a whole chest of blue bags waiting for new clothes and nothing! Ugh!
I can’t wait to get more content revolving around these as well
I agree 💯
I wanted to give the Forgotten cupcakes. But you couldn’t.
SMH
@@MrDreamlightthanks for telling me what the potatoes do. I will not be putting more energy into completing that task lol
I really would love more story too. It made the game feel so magical
I agree. The Ps wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t SO MANY new items every week.
Agreed 💯❤
I’ve been logging in only to get crap items in Scrooge shop and then leave lol besides it being super broken on switch. I’m just like not interested without the story 🤷♀️
@@ulteriorGand the fact they only gave us 500 moonstones for the issues, I was like is gameloft being for real right now lol
The dreamlight valley team needs to watch this video
And instead of adding more premium items they could fix all the bugs I would be happy with that, I'm tired of my game crashing
Instead of focusing on the premium shop, they need to focus on skull rock and the forgotten story
We need Touch Of Magic pants, shorts, and skirts in Daisy's Boutique
And more shoes. I'm so sick of those frickin' loafers lol.
@@saltycat662 Yes, I like some more boots, sneakers, and sandals
i've been playing since EA, and have really gone back and forth on my opinions on DDLV throughout! but right now i'm burned out, bored and definitely feeling justified in my anger in their decision to not go F2P.
Well you just read my mind!!... or my hundred negative posts about DDV across the internet. lol
Completely agree some of these items should be locked behind a quest, even making the max character level 20 & putting more items behind levelling them up
We should be able to sit down on furniture and take pictures while sitting. We can do it on attractions so why not on benches/chairs etc?
I think they are getting greedy as well I get they're trying to run a company but as much as we paid for the game moon stones should not be as expensive as they are, I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of buying moonstones, or give us other ways to earn moonstones as well
I think this is sadly why I've been playing games like Palia more, bc the multi-player is more fun than DDLV and premium shop isn't pushed hard.
Premium shop is the reason i haven't played in 3 weeks. Good job!
With every task completed, you're rewarded with items and chests filled with random goods, even gems (which are part of premium shops in the game)
Anyway, I'm rambling.
Premium shops in paid games always ruins them
Premium Shop isn’t solely what’s ruining the game.
Multi player moon stone task would have been awesome
Having them stay in their realms or choosing which characters do is such a great idea!! There’s so many characters I’d love to see but then I think where the heck would I put them?? 😂
I’m inclined to agree there is a lot more hype about the premium shop and the game itself has lost it’s way and taken some of the fun away from the game itself
missed my first daisy reset last night. forgot about doing it at midnight until just after i turned off the game and TV to get ready for bed and at first i was like, "shoot should i turn it all back on and di it real quick. it'll be close to 1am by then". but i decided i'd let it go and get a nice reset time "tomorrow" (today). i just get the quest done and leave. don't really want anything after getting her dress, which is really nice but a pain to put motifs on.
other than a quick trip into scrooge's shop, daisy's daily is about the only thing worth logging on for every day. other reasons are dreamsnap and i'm still waiting for the day i get the new pillow for the last fragment item
i've made the suggestion of having villagers doing what their job title is as a "job" also
I’m one of the players that completes the star path and new update quests within a week.
Why didn’t we ever get to make gold buttons? Or were they meant to just be flowers?
I totally Agree...im going to stop buying Anything Except Missing Rides.....I'd love a way to earn Moonstones 👍
Dreamsnaps
Yes it is. Be fine if it wasn't so extensive. And even if lucky enough to keep getting 4k dreamsnaps, you know yourself it's not enough
Yes, yes and YES! 👏🏼
I feel like it would bring more exciting things to the gsme if they gave us a day to pick new tasks from a list of things every week that lead to new items and still do Wednesday premium shop, just do new task days on Fridays, that way some of us can have time on the weekend to get them done before new ones come out
Morning!! 🦋
Ya, as much as I love Belle's items from her bundle, I was disappointed that it didn't come with quests like Ursala's or WALL-E's
All the continuous bugs on every update is ruining the game.
I am really enjoying the premium shop. I don't feel I have to have everything, but it is fun to browse and choose. With that said, it would be nice to have a bit more content and good quests with good rewards for the ones that have been doing the game for a while.
I personally like the premium shop for decorating especially large items helps that item limit
What about the forgotten quest? They teased skullrock coming and nothing happend. I was really excited to find out what’s behind skullrock😢
I’ve only had one door since they came
Sadly yeah…
But i do love the story/quests a lot. I just want more i guess. And less fetch quests, maybe more puzzle elements for the quests.
Hi everyone
I'd like to have them bring back some of the older shop items because I don't have all of them
Interesting discussion.
The Premium shop isn't making the game boring, the lack of content IS making the game boring.
I 100% agree
I also think it's all about buying premium shop items and dreamsnaps (to the point they put dreamsnaps in the starpath). They make it so hard to play on switch with the crashes and freezing. The invisible items. Designing is hard on switch so I don't do the Daisy challenges. I hate the push for touch of magic when you can't use them in dreamsnaps and you tear apart a build to take a picture. I don't like how this game is now its boring.
Id like to play as The Forgotten again and more long term
I really hope someone from game loft see this video
