I started reading the comic after seeing this and i almost finished it (issue 66) and finished herogasm and i can say this is one of the best superhero comics i have ever read.....
So I didn’t see The Female in this at all, check IMDb and she’s only casted in one episode out of 9? But robin somehow has four. Also Simon pegg is hughies dad when let’s face it, he should have been hughie Not sure I like the direction this is going but I guess we’ll see.

It's most likely being done to appeal to the superhero movie audience. Nobody knows who Martian Manhunter is, and even Shazam's only had one movie so they'd need to change his powers if they want people to get the reference.

Loved this series but gotta say i was a bit disappointed as this trailer is a bit misleading. It paints it out to be a lot funnier than it is. As a dark super hero parody, and while there are a few giggles to be had its more of a giant mirror on today's society with Superhero's occasionally using their powers.
