I'm an Economist so I'm not an expert in this stuff. But if I'm not mistaking, Linguists can also work in Anthropology to reconstruct old languages, or Preservationists/archivists/curators for those that are under the threat of extinction.
I love your videos. They help so much. I'm trying to watch 2 to 3 videos a day. You have so many. You put a lot of work into them and I appreciate it. I'm a math teacher. Your videos help me to help my ENL students. Especially, the pronunciation videos for Spanish students learning English. Could you do more videos to help English speakers pronouce Spanish sounds better? For example, I say gracias with 3 syllables. But, I know it is suppose be 2 syllables. I don't know what I am doing incorrectly. Your detailed breakdowns help tremendously. Also, words like puerto. I have trouble with Spanish diphthongs. I am a non-rhotic speaker. So, that doesn't help.
Additional careers for Linguistics majors to consider are: Language Engineer, Knowledge Engineer, Ontologist, Taxonomist, Localization Specialist, Metadata Specialist, and Conversational Designer.
Sending this to my parents so they stop whining about me studying a “useless degree”
