Just wanted to point out that when leash walking your Shih Tzu using a harness and especially a harness that can’t slide up if your Shih Tzu does pull on the leash, to avoid any live altering injuring like causing a collapsed Trachea by using a collar instead of a harness. Our little boy wears a collar but only for his license and his rabies shot medal. I only walk him on his leash attached to his harness which forms an X shape on his chest and because of the X shape it can’t injure his fragile Trachea. ❤😊
That's good that your dog is clean so when you let your dog out it won't track mud back into the house If it's raining try to put potty pads in the house so try to adopt to your dog needs
Ours is bit sleazy and just lie down.... but not destructive... they just lie down to you and often beg but given small amounts only, two of them are bit fat but just right. They love walks and often barks when seeing cats. But we don't let them both near to cats. Just walking only
Enzyme cleaner so they can't smell the old urine spots and thus won't associate the carpet as a bathroom. Pee mat training also gives them somewhere to go indoors.
Lol this is so silly. Crates, if trained properly, are associated with good things. They learn the crate space is where comfort, safety, toys and treats are. The key is to never use a crate as punishment, never let them become distressed in the crate. Reward them for being in the crate. Then they have a safe space you can place them when it isn't safe for them to roam around.
Shih tzu owners, quick question: My shih tzu never ever barks at people but when we're out we barks at almost every dog and resembles a pincher or a pitbull :D jokes aside, anyone has any idea why this is so and what to do to stop him when he starts barking at other dogs?
slowly introduce him to dogs personally my shih tzu almost never barks not at humans not at animals but sometimes when he is afraid of something he barks at them and to make him used to it we go and hold it/pick it up if small enough and slowly bring it near your shih-tzu while petting it

Mine shih tzu loves water and rain and goes into every puddle. When we back to home, she run direct to the bath 😂

I see that my shihtzu barks when she is excited and she wants to play with a dog but he ignores her.
