  • What is the significance of the “two-edged sword” referred to in Hebrews 4:12? Notice that this “two-edged sword” came out of Jesus’ mouth! (Rev 1:16) Why would Jesus have a sword in His mouth? The devil is not afraid of your words, rather, he’s afraid of God’s Word when it’s spoken by you in righteousness, holiness, and the power of the Holy Spirit. For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
Triumph of Hope hosts weekly prayer gatherings each Saturday to teach Christians how to enrich and strengthen their prayer life. We invite you to join next time!
When we come to God in prayer through the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we are appropriating the infallible word of God, the powerful Blood of Jesus and the finished work of the Cross to release the mighty strength of the Holy Spirit and all of His heavenly resources to intervene in our circumstances- to bring us into a place of strength and victory- where we become more than conquerors.
