It'll be 40 years in September since I started 6th grade at North Kitsap Middle School. Went there from September, 1978 to June, 1981. When did I become the 'old guy'?
I was too! :) I started middle school today (middle school for me is only 7th and 8th grade) It's fun, you get to meet new people, see your friends, and get a locker which I was also really excited about! I can't wait to go tomorrow! It's fun, I think you'll enjoy it! :)
It's so weird knowing I am a 6th grader at this school, school is about to end, and they do things way differently than they did back then. I've walked through the same hallways, and we do not have our lockers pictured in the video. The 7th graders or 8th graders have those lockers. I have a locker in A Hall, which is mainly 7th graders but I had some special circumstances (8th grade math, and my locker is in the hall where I had that class, which I do not take anymore, I take 7th now). We have a new principal. He's pretty chill. The only time he's spoken to me was when I was giving out edible seasoned crickets that I bought to people who asked, and he asked me to stop giving them out because I was risking people getting sick. Oops. Otherwise, now that the year has come to an end it kind of makes me dizzy knowing all I have gone through this year. Good luck to the new 6th graders next year. I'm rooting for ya.

6th grade wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm going to be an 8th grader this year. The main thing is to remember that you are around older kids so they don't like to deal with all the elementary school drama. Try to be mature and you will be fine:) good-luck!

I wish I could go back to 6th grade. Sadly I didn’t get to finish it cuz of covid 19 quarantine mid year. I wish I could go back though, all the teachers were so nice , helpful, and welcoming, now it’s a hit or miss with teachers, and everything was so easy and calm environment . I’m in 9th grade now and I hate school besides the sports.

I took a tour of middle school when I was in 5th grade and ended up getting in a fight with two 8th grade girls on the middle of a hallway filled with 6th, 7th , and 8th graders. I almost got kicked out of that middle school before I knew I was going to that middle school. ( I am going into 6th grade this year)
