This was an imptomptu performance. David clled him.back on stage to sing this. He was there to be the front act but during the sound check Davud asked him to sing All by Myself.
Stell is the main vocalist of an all-male band in the Philippines - SB19. SB19, dubbed as the "Kings of Philippine POP" are vocal elites, known for their impressive live vocals (no lip-syncing, no autotuning) and versatile musicality that showcases different song genres in their discography. Stell is cut above the rest but each member in general can easily pass as the main vocalist of many groups today. That's how good this group is.

While Stell was rehearsing the three songs he was set to perform as the opening act, David approached him and asked if he’d like to try singing “All By Myself.” Stell recounts this unforgettable and nerve-wracking experience in an interview. There was no way Stell could refuse David Foster, so he agreed to sing the song without any preparation, even though he was only contracted to perform three songs as the opening act. What makes this performance even more incredible is that Stell was only supposed to be an opening act and this "All By Myself" performance was unplanned, not part of the concert repertoire, and an impromptu challenge from David Foster. It's insane to think that he had already sung three high-pitched and vocally demanding songs, and to top it off, he's not in the best condition (he's sick). I had to mention, too, that a day prior to the concert, SB19 had intense performances at an event. And the elephant in the room-he's a man, hitting the piece in female key and doing it cleanly. Stell is a legend in the making!
