every time you upload an update video, I relate to so much of what you say and experience. im very back and forth about not wanting to buy clothing at all and being satisfied with what i have, then a day later feeling like i'm missing something in my wardrobe that i need to find. i also want to be honest with myself about my poor priorities when shopping and handling money. the only thing holding me back from seriously pursuing my goals is me.
i really appreciate you being honest and reflecting so much. most people i come across doing low buys seem to have semi-mastered their finances or a more minimalistic lifestyle that is hard to relate to. also, your bike is beautiful!

Really loved the introspection here and I've been going through the same thoughts regarding the relation between influencer spending and my spending - they are making money by spending in hauls while I'm just spending, period. I think your content has a lot of value just the way it is now, even with the f*ck ups. I'd much rather watch you being honest and relatable instead of being the perfect No Buy icon - because we all know what a perfect No Buy looks like (you just don't buy anything lol) whereas your journey here is something unique and interesting to follow!

I have found that when I am very stressed out I tend to buy more than normal. Plus all of this living in the U.S. during a global pandemic in one of the more conservative areas of the country is not helping. I have been decluttering, though, instead of spending time online looking at stores. I also work for myself so I have been doing more work right now than usual to try to distract myself from all of the crap that is going on.

yeah the pandemic has definitely been taking a toll on me as well and i can imagine it being even more tense living in america at the moment. i’m glad uve found a way of distracting urself a bit, i find that really helpful as well.

@@AndreaJensen It's been pretty bad. Where I live it seems like no one cares and they go about life as if nothing is going on. I cannot get the vaccine due to medical reasons and it would also be bad for me to get COVID so I have not been able to go anywhere, even to the grocery store. My state repealed it's mask mandate so masking is not required anywhere anymore. Yesterday our school district voted to make masks optional as well for students and staff, which is VERY unsafe. I am very upset about this as I still have one son in school.
That is amazing that you can get unemployment in Denmark after graduating. It seems like your country tends to make it easier for people to get an education and establish themselves than here. I had a friend in college that was from Denmark and as soon as she graduated she moved back and lives there now.
I hope that things are going better for you and your family!

i’m so sorry to hear that, i can’t imagine what it must feel like to have a child in school in that situation. i really don’t understand the states and the countries that makes those types of decisions - what is the plan? are they hoping for some sort of mass immunity? so many people are going to suffer because governments make decisions based on economics rather than human lives it’s so heartbreaking. i hope that u and ur family gets through this safely! a lot of things are definitely easier in denmark but a lot of choices the government makes are also really dumb in my opinion. it seems like where a lot of states makes choices going directly against what’s best for people denmark seems unwilling to choose any sort of side. hopefully everything will get better soon. wish u and ur family well✨

@@AndreaJensen I think that part of the issue in the US is that the State and local governments are all making decisions for themselves. There are little to no national regulations in place and a lot of conflicting information. I don't think that the political state of the entire country the past year as helped.

Honestly, i’m tired of seeing monotonous thrift hauls on my feed. It’s just them showing off their new thrifted clothes in a stylised way, without them realising that for a lot of people they depend on charity shops and thrift shops for Affordability. Or the zero wasters who gets sponsored by sustainable brands - not all of us (me included) can afford those ethical and sustainable brands. 🤣 nvm the international shipping fee. Eep. (Did find myself saying on the asos order bit, “you need to live in a country where international shipping is needed 90% of the time...”)
The bike is beau-ti-ful and i hope u have a good lock mechanism and system to lock up ur bike in public areas. Idk if stolen bike crimes are a thing in ur area. 😐 you could try videos like “shopping my own closet / makeup” as outfit and haul ideas. :)
You could try and find secondhand household appliances. It would be cheaper and saves on waste. Wayy budget friendly. Use cocoa powder as tanning powder, could sort of work :P
And saving up for your own house and doggo > shopping 😉 (also expensive vet bills are a thing). Lmao. The low key piracy cd albums trick. Did that in school with friends cd albums. Couldn’t do that with finnish metal though as i was the only one who listened to them. Until i found out about yt to mp3 links. 👌🏽

loool youtube to mp3 do not know where i’d be without it (or limewire tbh haha)😆
definitely think the gentrification of thrift stores is such an interesting topic! it’s insane how much prices have gone up in recent years.
and thank u! definitely throwing all the locks on my bike as bike theft is a huge issue in denmark - it’s for the most part agreed upon that no lock can stop them so u basically just need to get a lock that’s covered by ur insurance....
