My first play through I was confused because all the npcs kept saying deathhand. I invested in speech so I wanted to resolve it peacefully. Then I talk to the main guy and he’s talking about deathand and I’m his dad and all this. I didn’t know what was happening but got tandi.

Remember when Vats was only an anatomical visual where you can see what they're like? And man, when i was little, i always wanted to see the 3d rendered models myself since new new current games lost the unique touch on it, being gritty and try to restoring the place of what was it like back then.
I fell in love with Fallout when I challenged the much stronger Khan leader in a duel, got a VERY lucky critical kick on his groin, he went down groaning and I just sort of kept kicking him until he stopped moving. So much fun.
You don't actually need the jacket if your luck is 9 or higher, the chance of it happening is 50% even with the vault suit on (upon your first time entering)
This track really makes it feel like there are new cultures in the Wasteland that are developing away from the Old World, but they are more primitive, more vicious and violent, adapted to this new reality. Like this is a new normal. To us the world of Fallout is post-apocalyptic, but to the Great Khans who are 3 generations removed from the apocalypse, it's just their world, their playground even.
They're just called The Khans in F1. They don't get the 'Great' until New Vegas (the third iteration of The Khans after getting destroyed in F1 and then again in F2).

The khans are not the bad guys in nv, they are an independent faction whose interests might or might not align with yours. And they are a great way of showing how the ncr and legion both survive off killing or subjugating any faction in their way

It's a proper oldschool RPG set in a gritty & brutal world. You can fuck up & make the game unbeatable, but you won't get it to hold your hand in any way. Even disregarding the fact that the game is 22 years old, saying someone dies is not a spoiler in any way.

I can definitely see this being used as either the theme for Paradise Falls in 3 or Nukatown USA in 4, had they done a similar thing with their soundtracks, like they did with New Vegas.
During my first Playthrough I never knew about rescuing Tandy because I never came back to shady sands after dealing with the radscorpions. So after becoming level 10 I would come to the raider camp with my high strength and endurance character and I would feel so evil with the track playing in the background as I kill all of them and then take all their stuff.

This game is about human behaviour when all societal rules fail and are no loger respected.

This game was amazing bro. All sound tracks were fucking eerie but interesting. This sound really made me feel like we were sent back to the Stone Age. I felt like I was becoming a tribal ready at any moment to pounce on my attacker fully tatted on the gang in from.

Call me a young soon-to-be-middle-aged filthy casual (it's been that long since this game released), but this is THE quintessential postapocalyptic town OST for me. I don't care if you're facing friendly but downtrodden traders or brutal khans.
Laying waste to the Khans after the hub is probably the best time to do it. You get some pretty good weapons and good armour that the Khans do not stand a chance against

Fallout 1 and 2 you felt like you were in a nuclear wasteland. Fallout 3, and 4 you felt you were in a playground. New Vegas was the only 3d Fallout you got those 1, and 2 feels.
I don’t mind all the architecture or even a bright red tower, it doesn’t feel too far off. What bugs me is that in Fallout 4, *200* years after the bombs, everything looks like it’s barely been 50.

Nobody has cleaned up the garbage, repainted any buildings, removed any skeletons etc. It's been 210 years since the apocalypse and everyone is still sitting around with their thumbs jammed up their asses. In FNV House decided to get off his ass and fix up the strip and open it for business. In F2 the NCR has planted trees and grass in Shady Sands and moved away from sandstone huts. You don't see skeletons or garbage littering these places (although the strips roads should probably be fixed by now). Chernobyl happened a mere 36 years ago and it's fallout is already dissipating, you mean that 210 YEARS after the bombs things wouldn't be getting better?

I've always loved the tribal themes. This and Arroyo add to the wasteland. Established tribes. Makes the land well lived in.
