So I got this Tuesday You wanted to be one of the first to get Apple Card - a new kind of credit card created by Apple, not a bank. Good news: Here’s your chance to experience Apple Card before everybody else, so you can help us get ready for the public launch. Your early access invitation is waiting, but we need your Apple ID to send it. The email address you provided does not match an Apple ID signed in to iCloud. Just complete a few simple steps so we can send your invitation.
How to get your invitation:
Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 12.4. To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Take note of the Apple ID used to sign in to iCloud on your iPhone. To see your Apple ID, go to Settings, then tap your name.
Set a passcode for your iPhone, if you don’t have one already. To set a passcode, go to Settings, tap Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, then tap Turn Passcode On.
Go to apple.com/apple-card and tap Notify Me to enter your Apple ID.
Invitations may take up to 48 hours to arrive. Still waiting

Do you need to already have a card from a bank to get an apple card?
Ok, I had two questions so my biggest concern is if your phone get lost or stolen...how would that go...I know they say your face unlocks your phone but how secure is that really...and the other question would I lose my card because I may want to upgrade to a newer phone...
Applying for the Apple Card WILL NOT do a hard pull on your credit. It will in fact do a hard pull of you accept.
So, if you’re declined, your credit will not be hit.

You can’t link cards, but you’ll have to set up a default bank account for payments 👍🏻
I applied a couple times . I got denied the first two times. The third time I applied it took me a week to get an offer. I got a limit of $4500 with an apr of 12.99%

The only credit hit I took on my score applying for this card is a 2 point hit to Transunion. Not as bad as I thought it would be,

Note that activation for an older Iphone (in my case a 7) differs from that shown in the video (on a pre X phone you are supposed to open the Wallet app with the phone next to the card to get to an Acitvate selection). I note this because, in my case, the Activation process has so far failed. Just spent 2.5 hours on the phone with both Apple and Goldman Sachs techs and the problem stumped all (4) of them. Am now waiting for a 24 hr period to pass - the best any of the techs had to offer was the theory that there is something about delivery of the card that has to clear in the FEDEX system before Activation can proceed.
That is very interesting! I have a couple of questions:
Is the 24 hour waiting period because the activation failed, or because Goldman/Apple/whoever attempted a fix on the card?
With the wallet app open, is it a process of scanning the card like any other debit/credit card, or a dedicated page specific to the Apple Card?
@@TechDaily No attempt to fix the card was made, to the best of my knowledge. Quoting the Goldman tech from the chat record of my call: "Our system is not reflecting the tracking number for the card being shipped and delivered. Because of that the Wallet is not recognizing that you have the physical Apple Card." Therefore, the suggestion that I wait 24 hrs and try again, in the hopes that whatever the glitch might be in the (FEDEX/Goldman) tracking system, it will clear by then. I don't have much confidence in this, since my check of the FEDEX tracking data shows normal shipment and confirmed delivery to my door.
With regard to your second question: on an older phone like my Iphone 7, you must manually open the Wallet app with the phone in proximity to the card. Then, you are supposed to find yourself in the main screen for the Apple card, with a clickable Activate that should trigger the rest of the (automated) process. In my case, I see no Activate option in that (or any other) screen (and the techs don't know why).

Can I use ipad to apply apple card?
The wallet app is not on iPad, so I don’t think you can.
you can't pay your bills if you lose your phone. There is no MacOS support for apple card.

Got declined because I’m in college 🤦♀️ but I have a 730 score. I wonder if they put the inquire in my report smh.
An inquiry isn’t the worst thing in the world. They disappear after 2 years and affect your score for just 1 year, but aren’t generally seen as a negative If you build up your credit a bit more (longer credit history, more on-time payments, etc.) you’ll likely get approved within 6 months 👍🏻

I got my invite to apply for my #AppleCard and i was denied x2 because my credit balance is too high to relative to my credit limit what do you suggest me to do wait until next year and retry to get the #AppleCard ?
Definitely work on paying off that credit card balance as soon as possible. If you feel like your credit limits are too low, you can also ask your bank or card issuer to raise your credit limit as well. You can apply for the Apple Card whenever you’d like, but you’ll earn it in due time based on your credit history and other factors 👍🏻
TechDaily Thanks is it true that if your credit score is frozen it won’t let credit applications through?
Just work on your credit balance if that's the reason. It is only a soft inquiry unless you get approved. So you could try in 3-6 months if you reduce your balance etc...

23.99% that’s surprising I only have 12% then again that really doesn’t matter as long as you pay it off with in the billing period
Yeah, I was mildly offended seeing the APR I was offered. I have a couple other cards that have higher limits with half the APR or better. Seems like a lot of folks were surprised by the offer they were given. That's awesome you were able to get something better!

What is the lowest credit limit…
I've heard that some people are getting the card with a credit score as low as 620. I'm kinda worried because of Goldman's Sachs history of giving high risk loans. This card is not a secured credit card so accepting people with a credit score lower than 700 is kinda scary.
Celso Rojas in Australia it’s different when it comes to credit score, but credit limits for the Apple Card, what would it be.
@@cameronh3832 my bad, so far the lowest I've seen is $1,500 but I'm sure that's in the U.S. not so sure in Australia. They might determine the credit limit by your income to the minimum payments to your current debts like here in the U.S. that's what I've read on the apple website.

@@cameronh3832 I did a quick search and found out that there's been some people getting a credit line of 750. And that there hasn't been any news on the apple card being released overseas. I'm sure it's going to be released in Australia soon.

I know a metal card doesn’t mean anything particular, but most metal cards are classified as premium. Apple is sort of crossing the line making a premium-material card but offering nothing with it. More just making an off-hand comparison
