Favourite of the Queen's tiaras is Cartier Halo which Kate wore for her wedding.
Favourite royal tiara is Fife. Love the way the diamonds dangle and dance in shimmering light.

I truly believe that the necklace this lady is wearing is another replica of a piece that the Queen owns. The necklace she is wearing looks a whole lot like the Cartier Nizam of Hyderabad necklace. The Nizam of Hyderabad gave the then Princess Elizabeth an amazing wedding gift when she married Prince Phillip in 1947, he let her have anything from Cartier that she wanted. She picked 2 spectacular pieces, an all diamond floral tiara that had 3 removable rose brooches and a matching necklace. The Queen still wears the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace and has even loaned it to Kate on occasion... The beautifully delicate yet substantial diamond tiara suffered a horrific fate in the worst tiaracide in history. After becoming queen, Elizabeth should have inherited all of the jewels that were designated property of the crown which included the crown rubies, which consisted of the Oriental Ruby Circlet Tiara that Prince Albert designed for Queen Victoria, however the Queen Mum was very fond of the royal rubies so she kept it in her possession, the Queen then found herself needing a ruby tiara of her own. She had another wedding gift stashed away, a bunch of Burmese rubies, so tragically she decided to take the beautiful floral Nizam of Hyderabad tiara and break it down to use the diamonds in her Burmese Ruby tiara with the Tudor roses. She did at least keep the 3 brooches that were removable, she does still wear the brooches
