You forgot to mention that the only way to get the armored karuma is to do the first heist. To do that you need a high end apartment. After that, you need to pitch the heist room separately. That’s a lot of money for a new player.
I agree with all the Elegy wasn't my first car but it was my first car I bougt I have had it for about a year now and have yet te sell my first Elegy it is sitting in my office garage modded and is ready for anything you throw at it
Guys trust me, This dude is wasting your time. My favorite car right now is the Karin Sultan. It's only 12,000 on Benny's motorworks and it's considered a super car. Fully upgraded it can keep up with many super cars. And if your looking for looks turn it into a lowrider at Benny's motorworks.

Best car to start: Elegy Rh8 because has amazing grip, awd, great handling, good speed and you can fully upgrade it to be a Top range car overtime, the best part? It's free. The best car to rejoin the game if you a legacy player is The Duke of Death, that car is simply put a bulletproof, armored, heavy all round FREE American tank. Really fast acceptable handling and it can ram an MOC and flip it upside down, and stands heavy damage and even Opressors mk2 have to chew trough it.
Note, that benny's RS is a fine tuned vehicle. If you just add a rollcage to your sultan, it gets the RS badge, and it also counts as an RS. Also note that, Benny's RS is basically a better RS. But if you want an RS, (non Benny's) just spend around $1100, and you have the LS basic RS.

Top 5 BEST Cars to Start Out With in GTA Online (Updated 2018) - brought to you by someone who can't count, or doesn't know that bikes aren't cars. Here's my best 5 vehicles recommendation list, and I probably will forget how to count too, on purpose. Elegy - Make a social club account, connect it to your game account, bam, free car. It is challenging to drive, so, don't be discouraged, it's not bad. Bati 801 - Cheap bike, cheap performance upgrades, handles better than the Akuma, and can go faster because wheelie physics. Armored Kuruma - This'll take some earning, as per the video, but it's a good vehicle, no traction loss offroad, very few cars have that. There is a bug or change that happened about 6~ months ago where windows can break out of it, not sure if they've been fixed, but be warned. Duke-o-Death - Free for returning players, decently fast lightly armored vehicle with the weight turned up to make it good for ramming. Stallion, Blista, Dukes, Racing Dominator, Racing Stallion, Racing Gauntlet, Racing Buffalo - Pretty sure all these are free as well for returning players. Definitely get the Pisswasser Dominator for a top tier muscle car. Also the Marshall and Kraken, because they're free as well. Rusty Rebel - More of a fun oriented vehicle, insurance is like $37, so no worries if it gets blown up, falls into a creek, etc. Zentorno - Your first venture into the supercar world should be the Zentorno. It is still decently competitive with the big boys in the supercar class, and is actually pretty defensive from small arms in public lobbies. It's also good offroad because of it being AWD.
Just because they are a low level doesn't mean that they're a new player. They probably just don't play a lot or simply created a second account for a better username.
If I had known in 2013 how good the Elegy RH8 was, I dont think I'd have used any other car at first. I remember trying to save 140k for my convertible Rapid GT that was my first sport car. But rule of thumb to start : buy a vanilla car or a car that was out, say, before heists. Cars cost roughly their IRL price so you get what you pay for. It's a russian roulette after that, you can have an awesome Vagner for barely more than the Adder of you can have a meh supercar that's twice the cost and slower.
I’ll make this quick for you 1) The Bati and the Akuma because they’re cheap and quick. The Bati is quicker in a straight line as opposed to what he said. They do expose you 2) Insurgent Pickup Custom because it’s very durable and it’s weaponised and can seat 9 people and can be upgraded in the MOC/Avenger but it’s expensive. The insurgent is a better substitute 3) The Duke O Death because it’s free if you’re a returning player and it has some armour and good ramming power but the armoured kuruma is more expensive and can seat more and very good in missions. 4) The sultan for some reason because it’s quick cheap and it’s insurance is cheap. You can upgrade to the sultan RS though I’d suggest the Schafter V12 5) The Elegy RH8 is free very quick and can be upgraded to the elegy retro custom and that has great customisation. The downside is that the pariah will destroy it. It has some good customisation
Double T is basically a bati with more acceleration and cheaper. If you want the akuma, and you have the criminal starter pack, get the vortex. It's free

Armored Kuruma is the best starter car. Period. It's fast, handles good, lasts to bullets and practically cannot be destroyed from hits etc. Unless of course if you blow it up.
I would not put Insurget Pickup here, you need to have bunker so you could buy MOC so you could buy vehicle modification station in it just to upgrade it to Insurgent Pick Custom for 200k and after that you can store it in the garage and put armor and other upgrades on it... I found out the harder way
In my opinion the best is the shafter v12 armored. It is not that cheap it costs 300k. But its fast, has armored windows, comes with 80 percent armour and bulletproof tire. Its extremely cheap to customise, and have explosive resistance.

For returning players you can't beat the Duke 'O Death. It makes so many missions really easy so you can get money quick if you're just starting out.

2) Insurgent Pickup Custom because it’s very durable and it’s weaponised and can seat 9 people and can be upgraded in the MOC/Avenger but it’s expensive. The insurgent is a better substitute
3) The Duke O Death because it’s free if you’re a returning player and it has some armour and good ramming power but the armoured kuruma is more expensive and can seat more and very good in missions.
4) The sultan for some reason because it’s quick cheap and it’s insurance is cheap. You can upgrade to the sultan RS though I’d suggest the Schafter V12
5) The Elegy RH8 is free very quick and can be upgraded to the elegy retro custom and that has great customisation. The downside is that the pariah will destroy it. It has some good customisation

Double T is basically a bati with more acceleration and cheaper. If you want the akuma, and you have the criminal starter pack, get the vortex. It's free

Tip .... you can get the night shark for 1mill (ish) ..... i got chased from the docks to sandy shores while a player was shooting rockets at me (all the way) the vehicle was fine

Armored Kuruma is the best starter car. Period. It's fast, handles good, lasts to bullets and practically cannot be destroyed from hits etc. Unless of course if you blow it up.
I started with a sultan in the 1st acc and in the 2nd acc with the Buffalo Bravado

The elegy actually has quite a bit of customization compared to other sports cars. It is definitaly not the most customizable, but it is decent.
The base insurgent/pick up is the same as the duke of death in explosions: 7 homing rockets, and 4 rpgs
you don't need to upgrade the sultan at bennys to make it a sultan rs, you just need to put a roll cage on it

I would not put Insurget Pickup here, you need to have bunker so you could buy MOC so you could buy vehicle modification station in it just to upgrade it to Insurgent Pick Custom for 200k and after that you can store it in the garage and put armor and other upgrades on it...
I found out the harder way
In my opinion the best is the shafter v12 armored. It is not that cheap it costs 300k. But its fast, has armored windows, comes with 80 percent armour and bulletproof tire. Its extremely cheap to customise, and have explosive resistance.
The elegy in the Duke of death are the two perfect vehicles because they're both free in the sultan ain't bad either☺
