This unique Sydney performance by the amazing virtuoso Lionel Yu,has already added another powerful link in the chain of all live performances in the history of this piece - a landmark of piano literature.

You were so full of yourself, Lionel, when you performed the piece. I like that you wrote to us so authentically about how excited you were. But you mastered it with deep concentration and confidence. You brought ❄️ winter wind ❄️ to life so that we could actually feel the wind along with the music 🎵. Really very brave and very good!

Obviously Lionel's an amazing talent, but does anyone here honestly enjoy the sound of Chopin?

chopin is the best of his era, and among the best of all eras

@@rami-succar7356 That is arguable you should listen to liszt and his transcendental etudes and other songs of his because chopin was the one who wanted to be like him.

@marcussoto4645 mmm nahh, every composer that came after praises chopin. and his pieces are still more iconic that liszt'ss today
don't get me wrong, i love both of em but really after you start actually playing the pieces you start seeing the difference

What's up with the zombie crowd? Their dull faces in the presence of such beautiful music is almost scary.
Anyway, that performance was a rare treat. Thank you. ❤
