Love your reactions. Richard said in his intro package that he chose this song for his fiancé who had a heart attack a couple months ago and recovered. Richard also lost his first wife to cancer 3 years ago so he has dealt with a lot in his life. I thought that this song didn't fit his voice as much but I admire him for picking a song that meant so much to him and he delivered a very emotional performance. Richard is my favorite act this season and I hope he wins. Again, thanks for posting such entertaining reaction videos.

Don’t know why people don’t appreciate ballads these days , I admire singers who don’t gave to blast just to impress. I think Richard was a little nervous , but he sang the song with such emotion , and think that’s one of his strong points , and think that’s why he chose this song. After Putri Ariani didn’t win AGT last year, I don’t foresee even the best singers to ever win the show anyway. When the show ends for him, I think he will have other moments where we see him sing all kinds of songs, depending on which road he chooses to go as far as his singing is concerned .
With what he had to face with his fiancé Angie suffering a heart attack the day he received his golden buzzer, this song he choose to sing for Angie and let her know just how much he loves her and how much he will struggle without her next to him.
Richard is not a professional singer, just a man who loves to sing and someone who wants to stretch for his dream. Better man then most of us who just watch and shower sing

Apparently they changed the voting this year. For the live shows, each judge gets one golden buzzer act to put through. Sofia chose another act to give the golden buzzer to. Good news is, Richard did get through to the next round.
I don't think the song was wrong for him, I just think the emotions from having lost his first wife and almost losing his fiancee to her heart attack (apparently she almost died), just got the better of him in the performance. For me, that's what made this performance so great. I do hope he finds a great song for his next performance and hits another grand slam.
Gosh don’t come for me….There could have been better songs for him to choose and there could have been worse songs for him to choose. I felt like this one was right down the middle, HOWEVER, if you are gonna do this song you have got to perform this song? You better have all of the emotions and all of the cries and all of the pain pouring out of you. He had that, some of his cries were beautiful. The ending, if that is going to happen I need for it to be real, like you are hurting so much that you cannot even get through this song for one more word….Gone. Also, I felt like his first song was very off the cuff, I thought it was outstanding and I thought it was shocking. This one felt more rehearsed, more controlled, like he has been working with a vocal coach for one month. I don’t think that is a bad, bad thing, he will need that going forward, I am just not sure now was the time? Still, it was beautiful and I believed him until the very end. I still love him! Let’s go Richard! 👍🏻
