These three are parallel world versions in a universe without Symphogears. They use Mechvaranus armors instead. So the three in the main anime universe are still regular humans. But they're still Symphogear candidates since all students in Lydian Academy are. So it's still possible for the anime version trio to get real Symphogears if there's ever gonna be another anime project.

It's not that the anime ended before they got Symphogears of their own, but rather, that XDU, the mobile game, is running on it's own clusterfuck of a plot completely irrelevant to the anime; it's not a sequel, and it's probably not even canon. Similarly, the 'remade' Madoka anime you're talking about... is also based on a Mobile Game, Magia Record. Which is, at least, arguably more canon to Madoka than Symphogear XDU is to Symphogear, even if people generally prefer to ignore Magia Record due to various bullshit plot elements that just don't fit the tone of the series in general and somewhat disgregard actual canon sometimes. On that note, i should point out that there were also quite a few spinoff manga for Madoka, focusing on Oriko, the Asunaro group, and a couple other less interesting incidents, before Magia Record was even made. Symphogear hasn't had the same luxury as far as i'm aware, and Magia Record is also a lot more popular than XDU. The chances of us ever actually getting an XDU anime are... not high, especially since there's very little in the way of plot material that can feasibly be adapted? It's mostly character driven (and crossover driven), as far as i'm aware.
Well, they're technically Symphogear user candidates since season 1. Every student in Lydian academy is. Shem-ha was just one rebellious goddess.
