Apart from blocking the stairs with bins and the boat, there is also a moveable bin on the side of the building between the gas cylinder/tank and the metal (ice?) cabinet. You can move that bin in front of the glass door and completely barricade yourself inside the store front. The added benefit is that they can't get in and some of their shots will be blocked, but you can still shoot them using the shot gun.
@@shinishini6047 I forgot that mode had to be unlocked. It’s been so long ago. At rank 15 it should be unlocked for you and you should see a T on the map to visit Trevor.
Boneyard glitch is terrible. All enemies dont come at you. Best is the Mth lab. Just push both dumpsters with blaster at entrances (behind and front at counter) and enemies will be coming on front entrance while youre taking cover shooting blindly with automatic shotgun.
I’m having the hardest time as a solo player getting the bins where I want them when fighting off the first wave. Any PS5 players want to join me and help me get this tier progress?
It might have been patched I guess but I’ll take a look into it. The store is still a good spot but will definitely want a friend to help cover the stairs.
@@jayyt2969 You have to enable endless waves. I think it’s available for only some of the survival maps, the ones that were added during the LSDW update.
Yeah, I've seen other comments pointing it out. Rockstar caught on. This is still one of the best maps for the challenge but would recommend 2 or more players now since solo won't be practical anymore. Also, it's tedious but if the props can still be moved with the ray gun during the start of a wave, the only waves where it is mostly needed is like waves 12 and up once the juggernauts start appearing.
The dumpster prop alone should be enough as it’s wide enough to block the stairway path. The boat is kind of extra. As long as you can’t move past it, then things should be good to go but if you want to angle the boat too, try aiming further away from the boat so the ray gun’s push radius isn’t too powerful
I run this weekly (call me a ... meth err .. head lol. I like the challenge of unlimited waves), and have a few pro tips and improvements on this video. I always run it solo, but feel free to run it with a couple other good players. I have been to wave 66 with the below strategies, trying to get to 100 and beyond lol. I thought I would make somewhat of a guide to help others so here goes. - Meth lab is the only map that you can do solo unlimited waves fairly easily. There are others, grove street, farm house, nuclear silo etc, but they have their pros and cons, meth lab is easy af and has far superior cover and blind firing locations. For reference my default loadout is ap pistol and ray gun, combat mg mk2, service carbine, heavy sniper mk2, assault shotgun, minigun, rpg, grenade launcher, rail gun, grenades, pipe bombs, sticky bombs, proximity mines. The only gun I use a silencer on is the ap pistol, as the silencer reduces the damage. I dont carry weapons that I wont use so it reduces the risk of accidently selecting something that I shouldnt be using, such as an smg when I should be using combat mg etc. - Fill snacks ammo and body armor before starting. I usually do time of day morning, and clear so enemies are easier to see. - Learn how to use the ray gun, how close or far away you need to be in order to move something, and how to do a gentle nudge move of an object. Practice this and master it. - As soon as you load in, use the ray gun to block the stairs, leave the dumpsters. If done correctly, the front of the boat will be touching the first dumpster and the rear of the boat will be touching the wall adjacent to the first dumpster. If you can, nudge the boat as far forward as you can to reduce the gap in between the two dumpsters. - Enemies will now starting spawning, just take them out with whatever, I use service carbine until wave 6. Leave one guy alive, this is important. Run around the store if needed to create distance. Come back around past the dumpsters and the boat, turn left, and ray gun the dumpster next to the ice box out from the wall, and ray gun it into the store, blocking the walkway next to the counter. Leave enough of a gap behind it so you can still jump over it and get behind the wall. If that last enemy is coming near to you, just do another circle, or wait in a far corner of the map until he comes over, then run back and continue. - You can also ray gun a second dumpster (near the big gas tank, in between the boat and the ice box. Shoot the gas tank from at least a distance of the ice box or it will blow you up) into the store, to use as additional cover. Make sure the highest side is facing the door, and its pushed up against the counter covering the area where you want to shoot from. I have tested this at length, and its ok, though blind firing without this additional cover is superior as your bullet spread is not hitting the top of the dumpster. Your call, if you think this works for your strategy, its an option. - You can also ray gun a van to cover the front entrance. The van is located at approx 2 o'clock when at the store entrance looking out. I sometimes use this to stop enemies getting cover from the big trash bin and trailer and shooting from afar. I dont block the entrance, I have it so that the sidewalk is still visible, but each end of the van overlaps with the front door of the store. - Check the boat after the first couple waves to make sure its all looking good, adjust as required, get rid of any gaps. - If you are going to wave 50 +, use your explosives on the lower levels (under wave 10) so you dont accidentally blow yourself up on say wave 35. If you havnt used rpg's or grenade launcher yet prior to wave 10, wait until there is one guy left at wave 10, now go upstairs and go to the outside area, shoot rpg and any other explosives into the sky. - Up to level 10, take full advantage of the health packs and body armor spawn points towards the end of each wave (leave one guy alive etc). Try not to use your snacks and body armor, I only use if falling towards 1/4 health bar. - Strategy is blind firing from the wall behind the counter, either side of the column are good spots. Sometimes you may have 3 or 4 enemies shooting at once. Or it may be the one or two that are shooting, they will reload, which is when I suggest you shoot to avoid being hit when confronted by several enemies. Sometimes I will burst blind fire, just to hit them and make them disperse, so they are easier to pick off one by one. Another shooting strategy for 1 - 2 enemies, is as soon as you get a lockon, and they are reloading, you just tap the fire button once and move your stick for the reticle for a single head shot. I call it the jack-in-the-box. Its enough to startle them and gets you back in cover as quickly as possible, and its enough time for you to work out what you want to do next, i.e. jack-in-the-box them again, or blind fire etc. - If you have a couple other players, one or both of them can ray gun the front door frames while you blind fire or take a break. If doing this strategy, I would suggest whoever is the gunner gets the combat mg ammo. - Weapons to use: gas canisters and service carbine until wave 6, assault shotgun and grenades, pipe bombs until wave10, combat mg only after 10. Use minigun for helicopters. - Heavy units appear from wave 12 (I think?! cant remember, ran it last night, was tired ..) are not to be played with, take them out as quickly as you can, jack-in-the box them. - If you need a break, wait for a chopper, take out all enemies on the ground first, then take out the gunners in the chopper (I use a smaller weapon so I dont accidentally blow the chopper up, service carbine etc), then rubber band your ray gun into the air while you stand on the combat mg spawn point (near the big gas tank that you blew up). Go have break, all g. Return, full ammo, gtg. Plug in your controller if you are taking an extended break. Take out pilot when you want to continue. - Enemies beyond wave 15 are very dangerous and laser accurate. Stay inside or they will swiftly flank you and turn you into swiss cheese. If you have one or two guys left, you can go to the roof and shoot them from directly above. Be careful not to fall off the roof. Use ray gun on them to give you a couple seconds to get at them with combat mg if required. - If its getting super hot, i.e. several heavy units in the store, several other enemies with them, all blasting at you, roll into the store room for cover, then draw them back outside by going upstairs to the outside area. Be very careful going back to the wall behind the counter, there will be several enemies that will stay there waiting for you. Roll from the store room door and immediately hit the cover button otherwise you will get owned. - Have fun with it ; ) Let me know what wave you get to.
@@JillyBeany Rail gun is fine if you can get a shot on, without being blasted at, it can be difficult. I was doing a survival last night, railed gunned the pilot of the chopper at level 10, and no explosion. The shot seemingly went through the cabin. I have had that happen a few times and its a problem when you are going to level 20 / 50 etc, so I stick to old faithful mini gun for choppers. For choppers with gunners, these are very easy, just take out the gunners, and the will stay in the air until you are ready to proceed. Other choppers with mini guns attached require mini gun / rail gun, take a shot then get into cover etc.
