A huge red flag for me is that "Nothing happened, these allegations are wrong." Quickly followed up by "We pumped up our diversity and reporting systems once the allegations started." Uhhh, if nothing happened then why do that?
Because the two go hand in hand. Diversity and inclusion reporting systems in practice are merely set up to silence dissent. In bich tech companies like Google and Amazon it's woke ideologist and in Blizzard it seems to be creepy neckbeards. Treating the state of california like they do women. Not just a blizzard thing though. This conversation was trying to happen with gamergate, and neckbeards insisted crazy SJW mommy was just trying to ruin video games by idk... Openly talking about how they're treated in gaming spaces, how female characters are portrayed in games etc. The culture in these big corporations is reflected in most of the social cultures in the bigger online games. Breathe the word "feminism" and you're a pariah, because why would we need feminism in a perfectly equal world where women get mistreated, silenced or blamed for it in almost every facet of society that is dominated by straight dudes.
@@KattReen Maybe if real feminists didn't let the movement get hijacked by 3rd and 4th wave nutjobs who see bad dates as the same as rape, ANYTHING bad that happens to them as sexists, and abusing men as justice and just deserts then people would take it seriously. Here is the bottom line, you can say women have it bad more times then men, but the unfair and unequal treatment is both ways whether women want to admit it or not. The only difference is men are not allowed to talk about, bring it up, or are fought by fake feminists the whole way trying. RAINN is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the U.S. and they show that since 1998 to today over 2.78 million men in the U.S. had been victims of attempted or full rape, neverminded sexual harassment. Most organizations concede that at minimum 10% of all victims are men. The American Sociological Association did a long term study and found 37% of men reported experiencing some level of sexual harassment in the workplace. 90% of all work place related deaths are men. The Census Bureau show only 20% of custodial parents are fathers, this is the highest it has been in decades. Maybe if these issues were not one sided or worst, actively covered up or fought when it happened to men, men might give 2 shyts when it happened to women. CA state through their courts due to a lawsuit of unequal pay by them analyzed National Women's Soccer League pay and found the womens team “on both a cumulative and an average per-game basis” made more then men. What happened? The leagues new policy is not for both teams despite men making less to split broadcast, sponsorship, prize money and ticket revenue. Similarly women filed an unequal lawsuit against google and an audit showed men received less money then women in that same role forcing a near 10 million payout to the men that would have otherwise ignorantly kept working for unequal pay with the perception they were making more instead. You think this country is dominated by straight dudes? How many women were fired, expelled from university, or had their children ripped from their lives until they paid an absurd ransom on an unsubstantiated and sometimes factually proven false word? Society has catered to the whims of women for two generations now, don't feed people that CA/NY left wing fantasy BS unless you have some facts to back up your propaganda.

Unfortunately there are articles about how HR’s don’t do anything for the employees cause they are looking out for THEIR employer. So it doesn’t surprise me that when going to HR nothing happens
Unfortunately a large majority of companies have HR Dept’s as a cleanup crew. Same with IG. They’ll out the whistleblower in a heartbeat and stand by the employer. They are paid by the employer thus will always be a conflict of interest.
This is the problem with having a Human Resources Department instead of a Personnel Department. Humans are a resource to be used up and discarded when they either have nothing left, or if they become an inconvenience.
Unfortunately that IS the standard for HR departments. Protect the company over the employees. That's the impression I've seen in HR departments across different fields. Even worse is that they are notorious for covering up for the sexual perpetrators. They would rather not announce their company employing a rapist and take responsibility. They would rather emotionally devastate the victim into submission until they either quit or give up and continue being harrassed. Whether the employee is happy or kills themselves is an "acceptable" inconvenience than investigating.

@L M Not really, he just had to spell it out for the drama queens what the definitions were. Don't assume your male feminist theories on everyone to make them seem lesser because it only makes you look dumber
The thing that got to me is how their statement goes on the offensive against California. Just attacking the people who are putting in the effort to investigate and hear complaints that Blizzard's own department couldn't be arsed to do. Acting like they are obligated to see Blizzard first, and hear their side of the story, tell them about every person who's been snitching on them, before the government gets the moral right to carry out this investigation, with the blessings of Blizzard's higher ups. Followed by this snide, cynical jab of "this is why companies move out of California". Why, because the local authorities are less willing to put up with this bullshit? Because they actually hold you accountable? Do you think you'll have less trouble with the government in Texas? Because if the Texan authorities won't handle a case like that, that says more about Texas than it does about California. This isn't the absolution of sin you want it to be, Blizzard.
This is incredibly disturbing, I'm feeling sick after hearing about the woman commiting suicide due to the sexual harassment, the people responsible deserves to rot below a prison
most do, it's just that people who have some sociopathic tendencies manage to wriggle themselves into these upper positions where they can flex their newfound power on those below them. While I was in the military, we had to do anti-rape/sexual harassment training like every other month. To those who wouldn't even think to do something like this, it's just tedious and stops us from getting actual work done. To those who don't give a shit and will do it the moment they think they can get away with it, the best it will do is show them what is expected so that they can use underhanded methods based on the reasoning that "The training said that we should never do 'A', but it said nothing about not doing 'B'." And since they have to present their case to other sociopaths, they often get away with it with but a slap on the wrist. Meanwhile the actually decent people have one minor screw up (JUST ONE!) and they get the entire book thrown at them with the maximum punishment to make them an example so that the sociopaths in power can tout your termination to the public as them doing a good job. Again, most people understand this concept, but what we're not doing is not holding our leaderships accountable to the same rules that we're expected to abide by
@@highcouncil1302 no dude, you really don't. The point of the argument isn't to claim that people who are falsely accused should be considered "more oppressed" than actual rape victims.
Unfortunately there are articles about how HR’s don’t do anything for the employees cause they are looking out for THEIR employer. So it doesn’t surprise me that when going to HR nothing happens
Unfortunately a large majority of companies have HR Dept’s as a cleanup crew. Same with IG. They’ll out the whistleblower in a heartbeat and stand by the employer. They are paid by the employer thus will always be a conflict of interest.
The only good HR is a third party HR. Your company's HR department is made to bury dissent and profile the dissenting parties.

The thing that got to me is how their statement goes on the offensive against California. Acting like they are obligated to see Blizzard first, and hear their side of the story, tell them about every person who's been snitching on them, before the government gets the moral right to carry out this investigation, with the blessings of Blizzard's higher ups. most do, it's just that people who have some sociopathic tendencies manage to wriggle themselves into these upper positions where they can flex their newfound power on those below them.

All that woke shit from any company is just pandering. Corporations care about money, the companies that make money live, the ones that don't die. That "We stand for this and that" is all second to making money, if not being flat out lies pandering for money.

"We made it against policy to retaliate against employees"
It's against the LAW to retaliate against an employee complaint. Was this LAW NOT POLICY BEFORE?
California like many other states is an at will state, the laws protecting against discrimination are so weak most enforcement arms will give employers multiple chances to respond to court, but if you as the applicant misses even one compelled date your case is dismissed. It happened to me 3 years ago the employer was given 3 chances, they failed to show to court 2 times, and on the third time my new employer refused me the time off at the last minute so I called to reschedule and the court refused my case and I lost it. employer got away with it.

Jamie Marcie and Monica Rial just openly lied about him, even though there were countless videos of them being friendly and cordial!
"We train our employees to not harass! So these accusations cant be true."
... well, we train people to not crash their cars, not drive drunk, and respect laws of traffic. Yet still... here we are.
Its not just about training. Its about fiscalization aswell as punishing people who do these kind of shit and keeping them off your business.

Poor Pewds getting called out.
The thing that bothers me about the focus on 'training' implies that we need to be told what's bad
Blizzard: ~”we gave our employees anti-harassment training, but if they actually go and harass someone we’ll just sweep it under the rug”
I think blizzard's "harassment" training is something entirely different than what you and I would expect if you know what I mean!?!
No wonder Blizzard has a hard time writing about morality and "grey areas"
What do you mean? They covered up the female characters while at the same time joking about rape. It was to make an impression that they are woke
I don't think they had any problem appearing to be woke
@@King_Cola Because being woke is just virtue signaling. Why do you think so called feminists complain about characters in videogames but don't lift one finger for real abused women like in the middle east? That's because one actually requires getting off your ass and putting some effort and the other is just bitching on twitter for rep points while sipping on your soy latte.
