One thing about the Tagesschau: It was indeed first produced by ARD affiliate NWDR (Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk). Since the split of the NWDR in 1956, the NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) has been responsible for producing the Tagesschau, initially more like a newsreel similar to the Wochenschau (eventually becoming a studio newscast) from a bunker at the Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg, Germany and since 1959 from their present-day campus at the Hugh-Greene-Weg in Hamburg-Lokstedt. The only time the Tagesschau wasn't produced by the NDR was on 25 July 1988 due to a union strike. The BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk, the Bavarian ARD affiliate) broadcast a "surrogate" Tagesschau that day. Within the NDR, the ARD-aktuell newsroom is responsible for the Tagesschau and its daily news magazine Tagesthemen. Fun fact: Apart from Telesaar and ARD (by way of the NWDR/NDR), the Swiss-German (from SRF) and German language Italian newscast (from Rai Südtirol) are respectively also called "Tagesschau". Only Austria fell "out of line" by calling their newscast "Zeit im Bild". Also: Not only is the NDR the biggest ARD affiliate by spanning the states of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it also has with the "Hamburger Hafenkonzert", which launched in 1929 under N(W)DR-predecessor NORAG, the longest running radio show on the planet.

It wasn't, the 1957-1969 intro is actually from 1965-1968
