death proof is underrated.
Jakob Huber it's so great
It's actually shit and not under rated at all. Easily his worst movie with the stupidest dialogue. He has maybe 4 good films- reservoir dogs, Pulp, Inglorious bastards and Jacky Brown. The rest are dumpster trash.
i agree. Death Proof was my fave of the 2
Even in Quentin's eyes.
Really says something when his 'weakest' work is still far better than the average flick.
If Death Proof was 20 minutes shorter It would’ve been a great movie.
I LOVE Death Proof. It's in my top 5 of his films. It's seriously underrated.
He doesn't have many films to top 5 doesn't Say much
Didn't lije it at first, but later it became a fave of mine. Tarantino's movies are always my fave movies.
Yes, absolutely!
I'm 25 years old, to this day my favourite birthday was when my older brother took me to see Grindhouse at the movies when it came out, I was maybe.. 16 years old? Fucking love Death Proof.
Fullmetal Norik . If your 25 now then you’d have been 12 or 13
Only 9 years then.
Grindhouse was the best cinematic experience I have ever had at a movie theater. Nothing will ever top it.
Same here
Agree. What a night watching fun cinema.
Black suit, black tie. You can't go wrong
You can't go wrooooong
reservoir dogs vibe
If I were to get a Tarantino film tattoo, it would be a 'Death Proof" tattoo. That's how high I rate it in his filmography.
I have one, no regrets
@@StubbsX88 A death proof tattoo?
jackie brown logo obviously
@@StubbsX88 Is it of Zoe Bell on the hood of the Challenger?
pulp fiction was arguably his magnum opus - what I liked about about death proof was the trademark and over accentuated trademark script that the women handle well enough to be ranked with Travolta and Jackson
Reservior Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Death Proof are his best natural conversion / hangout scripts - - that, along with Kurt Russel's performance, are what transcend this movie (Death Proof) beyond a typical car chase / slasher movie (. . .and the directing, naturally)
While Tarantino's direction is, once again great, the intional scratches and skips, while a smart idea for this Grindhouse theme, should have been minimalized or perhaps presented in two seperate versions (in both the tarantino and rodriguez features) as they amount to an over-all distraction, not a major on, but certainly don't add very much. And in Rodriguez's feature I dislike how he uses the missing real skip as part of the script - it cheapens an already weak film - - even if it is intentionally cheap to begin with.
An interested idea that I DO appreciate, but not to the but feel incline to object to
Jackie Brown is, by far, my favorite of his. I wish he would do something as *mature* and interesting again, but I doubt it.
He won the Palm D'Or for Pulp Fiction. Reservoir Dogs was his Magnum opus because he made it on a shoestring budget with limited locations and in a very short time frame. RD is arguably in the top 5 heist films of all time.
I love you, Quentin.
(Quentin) - he looks pretty mean these days, he has more fire than ever. I think he's got a 3rd 4th 5th act left yet. /so alive. Next up in 2019 is 1969:
A TV actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in the film industry during the Charles Manson murders in 1969 Los Angeles. Can not wait!
I don't know why he said it was his worst movie death proof is my third favourite tarantino film
challenge accepted.
1) reservoir dogs 2) pulp fiction 3) inglorious bastards 4) django unchained 5) kill bill 2 &1 (in that order) 6) death proof 7) hateful eight 8) jackie brown.
1) inglorious bastards. 2) Kill bill 2. 3) kill bill 1. 4) The hatefuleight. 5) django unchained 6) reservoir dogs 7.) pulp fiction 8.) Deathproof 9) jackie brown,
1) Inglourious Basterds, 2) Pulp Fiction, 3) Kill Bill, 4) Reservoir Dogs, 5) Django Unchained, 6)Deathproof, 7) Hateful Eight, 8)Jackie Brown,
It's my second favorite only because Kill Bill is my all-time favorite movie.
1) Kill Bill
2) Death Proof
3) Inglourious Basterds
4) Pulp Fiction
5) Hateful Eight
6) Reservoir Dogs
7) Django Unchained
8) Jackie Brown
I love all of them though. I don't have any major problems with any of them.
1.Kill bill 1. 2.
2.Pulp fiction
3.Inglorious basterds
4.Death Proof
5.Django Unchained
6.Hateful Eight
Pulp fiction is my favorite movie of all time, but I find Death Proof to be an underrated gem. I've seen it more times than I can remember
I remember being so pissed that Grindhouse was never released here in the UK... Because of the poor reception it had in the US, the producers decided to release both movies as separate features (without all the cool trailers in between), thereby completely ruining the whole concept and effectively charging us _twice_ for what was supposed to be ONE movie.
In the end I never bothered seeing them in the cinema and to this day have only ever seen it in its original form via bootlegged copies because both movies are _still_ only available separately over here.
White Rhino - I’ve no idea what the dog tags even are. Yet another reason to hate Harvey Weinstein...
McSuperfly101 actually, if you go online you can buy a region 2 bluray dvd of grindhouse, i have it
The full grindhouse double bill is actually on RUclips. It's phenomenal and has all the trailers in between, such a great combination of movies.
McSuperfly when I first saw the movie I had it on DVD it was 2movies in one. But then later as I tried to find it again I found out they separated the movies here as well. Now it's Grindhouse presents but when I had it it was just Grindhouse.
The full movie’s on RUclips in good quality with the trailers in between
best part the band playing Kashmir
8:06 what a genuine laugh from Mr. Tarantino
Death Proof is so underrated
Death proof is my favourite Quentin film - very underrated
For some reason I read "deadpool" and thought it was some sort of joke that I was not yet in on. ;D
If Death Proof is considered his "worst film" then it's not humanly possible for him to make a bad film
I like how this is suppose to be an interview about Death Proof and instead its mostly about Irish Car Bombs.
It's Shana banana not Shauna banauna!
"Snake Plissken is BACK" This is why I love him as a director...he's an unabashed child-like fan boy of these people and he tries so hard to give them roles they deserve - he's not just putting Kurt in his movie, he's using Kurt to bring to life a character that is instantly iconic and classic. He knows exactly how to facilitate movie moments that tap directly into how movies used to make us feel
I love this guy Quentin is a national treasure! Keep making those movies man forever.
That whole story about the camera truck party is why I prefer drinking with girls over men. Girls go HARD when they get drunk, and damn, is it fun.
Girls go DUMB when they get drunk?
@@DropTehBazz @ If I were to write a book on my drunk times alone …..it would go to the top of the New York Times Best Seller list ;) I wouldn't use the word dumb but out of my mind …..yes!
One of my favorite little parts in the movie is when the camera angle is shot from behind the bar and you can see in the right hand corner. Tarantino who is the bartender Knocking back a shot real quick of something and to me it's just hilarious because it looks like you just decided to do it on his own real quick during the scene, which is pretty much focused on the bar
Two great writers,
Two great minds
so few people actually understand deathproof and it shows it’s saddening
Once upon a time in Hollywood sealed his fate as a great movie director.
I like "Deathproof" its his best as far as im concerned.
I agree..
Yes very underrated
I love that he mentions Belfast
Death Proof soundtrack is sick.... my top fav soundtrack
can’t stop watching these Quentin & Conan clips
I love DEATH RIDE. It’s a movie I keep in my travelling case of movies. I’ll pop it on at the gym when I get on the treadmill. And two hours of walking melts away.
Quentin always talks about how he was a mommas boy and that she raised him. It makes sense hes comfortable being friends with a group of women rather than guys tbh. I know a few dudes who had a single mother and its the same scenario. Pretty cool social science going on there
tarantino is the only director since hitchcock, who is more important than any actor in his movies ever, and where you must know that the movie you are watching is his movie. or more simply put, you watch the movie cause you know he directed it. there are great directors, im not saying that, scorsese is one of the greatest directors ever in this industry, but im talking about significance and bond between director and the movie itself. for example, i know bunch of people that watched shutter island, departed, wolf of wall street, casino, and even goodfellas, that have no idea about scorsese. but when you say kill bill for example, or pulp fiction, tarantino is the first thing that comes to mind.
Since Kubrick and Hitchcock
Depends on your demographic
4:57 A r Grindhouse effect moment for ya.
Yes😂🤣
Kill Bill Vol 1 and Death Proof are my favorites
Great mind think alike this guy is magic put my mind and his together it would be the next biggest hit and change the way movies are made...
My first was reservoir dogs by friend. 2nd pulp fiction , kill bill. The rest is history in the makings.love the cameos .his films are the stile of many greats.
There's still a lot of the old Irish car bombs In Ireland
Death prooth is great!
Es un genio y uno de los mejores directores de los ultimos tiempos y es muy inteligente
He's the best interview...
And today someone tweeted “Quentin Tarantino is a great name for that freak”, I’ve been laughing since.
I feel love for no man except Quentin Tarantino haha !
I really like deathproof.seen it alot of times.the last 20mins are so worth the wait....so worth it lol
Quentin loves the peace sign
Conan is great in this, he knows how to bring out the coolness without pissing him off.
Death Proof is a true feminist masterpiece. That's feminism, not Ocean's 8.
and REAL feminism. not that over the top BS going on today
@@ibkristykat real feminism empowers women to take control of their lives and focus on what's important, not blame others for their current state. Hitchens said it best; if you want to empower women, let them control their reproductive organs, let them choose whether to have tons of kids who will not have enough, or to control how much they prosper in life with education and jobs, i.e. enough to feed their families and still enough time to enjoy life. I sound like a feminist, but the gist is, accusing the world for your problems doesn't solve them.
Exactly what feminism is half the time these days (pointing at others to blame them for their problems), and making women into men essentially. Feminists used to just want the power to choose and to voice that they are separate from the men in their lives. :/
@@ibkristykat
Some women rather choose to protest and lament their position o
In society, instead of taking things into their own hands, or reproductive systems - vaginas. They could deny men the pleasure of sex and sacrifice their own pleasure in order to accomplish something bigger, but many of them are selfish and only have their own interests in mind.
If you care, read the synopsis for Aristophanes' Lysistrata, where women do just that - deny men sex in order to stop a war. It was also turned into movies. Interesting concept. I'm sure that maybe 0.000001% of all feminists know of this. They could rule the world if they wanted...
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysistrata
No it's not, just because it stars women doesn't mean it's promoting feminism
Death proof is one of my favourite car movies
"So we're filming in Austin Texas"
Me proceeding to imagine the whole story in Ireland.once he mention irish carbombs
He's the coolest nerd i love it.
No one ... absolutely no one on earth. Quentin Tarantino : ✌🏻
Lmao, damn Quentin was that even a real laugh 8:10
Sounds like fun! I love that movie.
I watched Grindhouse for 4 years now like 10 times and today it is the first time I see the second movie.
It is just crazy.
I thought just the first one was the thing. I never understood why there were 2 titles for 1 movie.
Can u believe it?
Grindhouse was originally a movie that was a double bill along with Death proof but in the UK both movies got released in cinemas individually because they felt a double bill would be too long for the British audience.
Scream Queen here; Hey guys.....This was a fun interview.....See I wrote this movie last night....after I had a few whisky shots at The Bar with my sister Faith ready 2 go Scam on some guys....When 1 particular guy came into the bar.....and into my.....Well I think we know what I'm getting at....I was watching The Alter Horror Film SLUT....(Go watch it; on Utube.....I'll be right here waiting. And it reminded me of this......Then writing Jimmy as The Psycho Killer....(Also Check The Vid Edward Furlong The Voice, you'll see what I mean) Had a blast writing it.....I'd been having a blast watching these.....And Then I found this Interview; which reminded me of me and Faith in Highschool.....Only even cooler....Didn't have 2 worry about my mom....Cause Faith made sure I had The party life, And Jimmy.....When you have 2 see the movie 2 get the full story 4 this 1....Tell your friends....Have fun guys.....And 2 those who know me....I'LL SEE YA AT DISNEYLAND! SEE YA!
Death Proof is great.
Nver heard of an Irish Carbomb,I want one. x
trust me; one is enough when it comes to that drink. that's the point in the evening where you just say "fuck it!" and when you wake up and recover, you'll solemnly swear that you'll never have one again.

I love Death Proof. I don't know why it bombed, people just don't get it. Pearls cast before swine.
Death Proof is his best movie.
As this guy is talking he’s got inglorious bastards rolling around in his brain. He’s a genius
8:39 what does he say there? Something like "But there's a 'cavia' to that" ?
Irrational Man its caveat
thank you, didn't know that word
Irish Car Bombs are so tasty
Death Proof is the best film Tarantino ever made
The 2007 film maybe have been a commerical failure and an underrated film back in the day,but I still keep my fingers crossed that Hollywood will revisit the grindhouse genre once again sometime in the future. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Is Conan the brother of Ronan
"Does this belong to you?"

pretty messed up how they drink "Irish car bombs" in America. that'd be like if here in Ireland we drank 'American mass shootings'
I want to party with Quen, this is not fair.
I can't stand watching him talk and listening to his choice of thoughts/words tone of voice and body language in general...but hella I respect his results!
I think he's fascinating to watch. Like a human cartoon. And very sincere.
Guy makes movies like I would such a imagination the only thing is do different is id bring back stunt driving and real car chases that are intense not to mention BURNOUTS THAT ARE JUST GREAT!! I DON'T THINK PEOPLE REALIZE JUST HOW MUCH US CAR GUYS WPULD ENJOY THAT ALONG WITH EVERYONE!! LET ME WRITE DIALOG ONE MOVIE AND WATCH THE MOVIE EXPLODE IT WOULD CHANGE HISTORY
Whiskey in Guinness
Guinness (/ˈɡɪnɪs/) is a dark Irish dry stout that originated in the brewery of Arthur Guinness at St. James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland, in 1759. It is one of the most successful alcohol brands worldwide, brewed in almost 50 countries, and available in over 120. Sales in 2011 amounted to 850 million litres (220,000,000 US gal). It is popular with the Irish, both in Ireland and abroad. In spite of declining consumption since 2001, it is still the best-selling alcoholic drink in Ireland where Guinness & Co. Brewery makes almost €2 billion worth of beer annually.
So, any women around to confirm or deny?? xD
How he did only find out about an Irish Car bomb so late in life?
