- As part of its efforts to curb stock theft, the Eastern Cape government has launched the Livestock Identification and Traceability System (LITS) in Tsolo. This is one of the towns that are marred by stock theft in the province. LITS is a technology-based ear-tag gadget which the government is delivering to 120 cattle farming enterprises across the province.

Please also consider Matatiele Alferd Nzo... Stock theft is rife and put of control... I do think use of technology like chips is better than ear tags.. Equip police with competency to investigate and see case to finality...
