First year flower farmer in a climate zone new to me. I went from 5b to 7b. I have so many disappointments in the garden I'll think of what you said, that you ripped out the disappointments by the root! That will be so satisfying. I've already started to dig up the gladiolus corms. Don't judge, we've had 2+ months of high 90s to 105 degrees with lows in the mid 80s. Yesterday and today, very cool nights, it was 65 this morning, and mid to high 90s in the day.
Love it! I was out working in my garden today. Zone 9… but I stopped myself from pulling out the pickling cucumbers and some of the bell peppers plants that didn’t do so well this year. It kills me to remove something living but you’ve inspired me to go ahead and do it, making room for some carrots, beets, lettuce and spinach! ❤
The hardest part is starting the ripping out. Once a spot is clear it looks so nice and opens a space in my mind I didn’t realize was as overgrown as that patch. Zone 8b panhandle and I’ve attempted dahlias, it’s brutal for them. Your garden is lovely snd I enjoyed this!
Love your video. From what i understand to be sucessful with dahlias in your new climate. You need to plant them in a location where they get some morning sun and are shaded in the afternoon.
Peaceful and inspiring, and you have such a soothing voice.
Love this video ❤
