The first six or seven seasons Peter usually narrated in a soft spoken manner. In later seasons he got more dramatic. No matter what, he was the right and only one to narrate this series. You wouldn't think that by the final season that he was 86-87 years old.
This is like the pilgrimage for Forensics files fans. The first DNA murder case The first DNA innocence conviction The description of how the DNA test was done. In my 10 years of watching this show this is a experience to watch forbthe first time
I know…right? Where have they been hiding this little 🦄?!?! I’ve been falling asleep to FF on RUclips for almost 10 years now…so I’ve literally watched some of them like dozens of times. And up until just now…there wasn’t a single episode of FF that I hadn’t watched multiple times…& could basically quote word for word. How the hell have I never seen this episode?!?! And more importantly…do you have any more 🦄 Forensic File episodes hidden in your back pocket?!?! And if so…please share them! Damn…I feel like a drug addict…who just discovered a brand new kind of drug…for free:-)
@@MiloTheCat79I’ve watched them all, I couldn’t recall seeing this one until it got up to the part about the man doing pitchforks blood test. I searched YT for every episode over a few years and then one day the entire series was on Netflix AU..happy days 😊
Peter Thomas! Ahhhh! Wow-ee! This (my 1st) started my murder/mystery addiction! It's been so long! My husband + I used to fall asleep to marathons of Forensic Files.
The man who took the DNA test for the murderer, should've served time, as a deterrent to others. We are talking about a likely serial killer of young girls, not auto theft. What he did could have potentially cost the lives of other girls, if the lady had not been there to overhear him bragging and reported it, because apparently, the people whom he told didn't report it.
He's the father of genetic analysis, the father of DNA is physiological chemist Friedrich Miescher, or biochemist Phoebus Levene, or even James Watson and Francis Crick who defined its complex structure
Poor girls, they didn’t get a chance to live their lives fully because of a deranged man. He surely is in the right place for life. Sad cases, really tragic. 😢
18 months suspended sentence? This man should have gotten more than that. Helping his friend to conceal such an evil crime should be punished the same way as that murderer.
Many foreign countries do not have harsh sentences that the US does. In Canada which give life sentences for first degree murder, the convicted are eligible for parole after 25 years (that doesn't mean they get it though)
His 30 year life sentence was reduced by 2 years for "exceptional progress" 😳 Also, he was granted parole, but then was recalled 2 months later. There are no more current updates.
“Code of a killer” Great dramatisation of this story and Sir Alec Jeffreys’ role in the development of forensic dna profiling. Do watch it if you come across it.
Kelly was a foil for Pitchfork, but he was also a person who would brag about having substituted his DNA sample for Pitchfork's. His bragging, in my opinion, showed a lack of intellectual understanding of this serious situation. The world certainly has its share of those kinds of people.
Really My condolences for the victim's families 😓😢🙏✝️!!! Such a beautiful girls, I mean don't trust nobody for real and always walk while you can be watched. Avoiding those pathways. So sorry for the lost 😢😢😢😢
I think I got mad when I heard the father say he told her to walk with other girls in a group. Is he fn serious? How about u help your kid and pick her the fk up. 🤨
Not everyone can afford to. I pick up my neice every second day from school because her parents (my brother and his ex wife both work while she's at school). I used to pick her up EVERY day but she moved further away and I can't afford the gas to go every day.
A little too much coercion by police on convicting an innocent boy.😮 No doubt they didn't get to spend the same amount of time in jail as this innocent lad. Thank goodness for DNA.😮
Peter Thomas has such a soothing voice for the subject matter. Forensic Files with Peter Thomas is the best. Thanks for these hidden treasures.

DNA would be in its infancy for a few years but eventually got better by the end of the decade. Now DNA is used everywhere.
Don’t think I’ve seen this before, always a pleasure to see a new episode of the goat series.

Yeah I haven't seen it before as well.i know lots of episodes but this one is just new to me.
Me too

Used to?
Forensic science is fascinating. It is constantly evolving. Who knows what lies ahead in forensics?
thank god for the woman who overheard them at the bar!
N to actually call 👏 👏
Yes, thank God, she had the sense to inform the Police about what Kelly had said in the bar.

Happily watching forensic files new episodes....
This was the 1st episode they uploaded years ago
So happy to see the father of DNA here. Sir Alec Jeffries. What a hero
He's the father of genetic analysis, the father of DNA is physiological chemist Friedrich Miescher, or biochemist Phoebus Levene, or even James Watson and Francis Crick who defined its complex structure

What a legend

And to think Pitchfork would still be a free man if his friend hadn't bragged about what he did

Don't know about you all but I wouldn't have thrown the bike down but rather take off on it as fast a possible to get help/police.

right!??😮
“Code of a killer”
Great dramatisation of this story and Sir Alec Jeffreys’ role in the development of forensic dna profiling. Do watch it if you come across it.
The Blooding was the first true crime book I read, probably 35 years ago when I was in my 20's. I've been hooked on true crime ever since.
How interesting is it to read true crime books
Yes, thank God for Alec Jeffreys' discovery of the important uses of DNA!
Thank you, Alec Jeffries.
Poor Buckland! Pressured into a confession. Life probably ruined because damage was done already to his reputation.

Why did he get off his bike just to run away 😂
😂😂😂 He looked back a couple times either at that bike or the victim
Adrenal rush😂😂😂😂😂😂 he trust his legs.
He should never be hired as an actor ever again
Thank you forensics team and law enforcement for solving the case🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖
Sir Alec Jeffreys - what an absolute legend.
Served 28 years, was released, and within a few weeks approached another girl and he was reincarcerated. But he’s up for parole again now (2024).
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing 🙏
90s tvs shows had a very different vibe. The 1st 20 seconds were like watching a George A Romero zombie movie. 😅
Thanks! 🎭
i wouldnt be walkin by myself by a mental hospital
🤔 I would, but then I like to sit in cemeteries too so 🤷♀️😅
I've not seen this episode yet i been watching reruns 😂.
Thank God for Alex Jeffries and his discovery of DNA
😮💨 he did not discover DNA. my goodness. He discovered a novel technique for DNA analysis
@@elizabethr4107 was it Crick and Watson who discovered DNA?
This is actually the 1st Joseph Wambaugh book I read. :)

I feel sad for the young girls whose lives were cut short by a bastard.
This is so interesting.
I would never take a blood test for anyone no matter who
Thank you!!!!!🎉
I love love this show 💞💞💞
If i can’t sleep at night , I’ll just look for forensic files
Once again, the difference between 'belief' and science! No evidence then there is no case. And mounting evidence, tells us everything.
Wait, how is he a serial killer if he only has two victims? It requires three or more to be classified as a serial killer.
I believe the legal definition is actually a minimum of two victims in a minimum of two separate incidents.
I love this show

Nobel prize for the Doctor
The scientists who discovered DNA did win the Nobel prize for it. This man developed a novel technique for genetic analysis/ comparison
@@elizabethr4107 still deserves some credit for his contributions, probably not quite a Nobel though.
