@@walverden1we have 9 of our starting Xl injured including our top scorer Elijah Adebayo and captain Tom Lockyer. Our defence is decimated. Players playing out of position all over the pitch. It’s astonishing that we are still competing. What Cindy doesn’t mention is that every Premier League club has spent more money on a single player than we have spent in our entire 140 history!!! And we are fan owned with fans who don’t boo our team.

This game is the perfect example of why you NEVER leave a game at half time if your team is losing...!! Can you imagine if you were a Bournemouth fan and left early like other teams' fans have? How gutted would they have been to miss this?

Yeah unfortunately I feel like Luton are missing the boat big time. Everton and Forest can’t buy a win right now but they aren’t getting the wins to reel the in. Eventually those two sides will start picking up wins and pull away.
As a Forest fan I can confirm that after seeing the score at half time I was despondent and couldn't believe it when told the final score.
A real let off for Forest and seems unfair that Luton now have to play again 3 days later.

Great game but what were Luton doing??? They were 3-0 up and there was zero game management in that 2nd half. Can't believe how much space Bournemouth were allowed to play into, it was so naive. At 3-0 up, you shouldn't be getting counter attacked or look like you're the ones chasing the game. Just sit back a little and be disciplined.

Cundy, You haven't a clue what you're talking about. Comparing Luton to the likes of Liverpool and City who have deep squads and pockets. Luton are carrying a number of injuries(6 defenders out) and this defeat sits with the Manager - no one else. Hashi is playing out of position and Edwards should have made changes at 3-2, even 3-1. So if you want to place the blame, it sits on Rob.
Have to agree with you there. It was poor man management the manager need to take a long hard look at himself and back room staff this morning.
Are only problem is we are not a mega rich club. Proud to be a Luton fan. It might be the cheats send us down, but we will bounce back

Anyone who thought the game was done at half-time hasn't watched enough Luton games, or forgets we have an awful injury crisis (5 Centre Backs out)... once the first goal went in early in 2nd half it was all too predictable. Need players back and fast...
People rave about Luton but they completely bottled that game.

Looks bad but a disallowed Luton goal was narrowly offside and one of Bournemouth's goals was narrowly onside so the score could have been reversed on another day. It's Luton they've had bad luck all season.
A thing that covers all levels of football is that you think the game is done and dusted at half time and you take the foot off the gas 2nd half.
Luton is 100% going down. And it's sad because they are playing better than Everton and Forest.
It depends if Forest get deducted points and if Everton get deducted more points

Cant carry on with the mad man marking system when you're 3 up at half time. How Bournemouth can be 3 down and catch Luton on the counter is awful game management
3-0 at half time ,it's literally job done so you go more defensive and and waste as much time with the ball as you can with no silly passes and your passing sould be short and accurate.
They are scoring goals though and that is more than we can say at Everton. It's going to be a lot closer than you imagine expecially when the Forrest and Everton points deduction comes into it.
Luton will be safe as Forest will not even wait for a points deduction before falling into the bottom three by Easter Monday.
The thing is Jamie that Rob Edwards has said he doesn't think Luton are good enough to just try to hang on to leads in the PL - and that was long before so many crucial injuries. It is looking like this philosophy should have been adjusted though.
I feel that result for Luton is the beggining of the end unless Everton get deducted more points and Forest get punished to and you can’t rely on others in the best league in the world.

Having said all that, Bournemouth are not Man City. Even Man City don’t manage 4 goals in a single half too often.
The only positive for Luton here, is that if they go down they cant really complain about luck or other issues after a performance like this.

Luton were good in the first half but it was overall a pretty low quality half of football (except for the goals). They took their goals incredibly well, but we were dreadful in defence. We were the better team overall and the win was 100% deserved.
I don’t think they’ll stay up but it’s definitely not set in stone. They could easily still do it.

Although it's a defeat, with such performance Luton deserves to be in the Premier League instead of rubbish Sheffield United & Burnley. Hopefully, Luton staying up.
The result that killed Luton was losing 3-1 at home to Sheffield United. It's ok being plucky losers against the good sides, look how they came back against Villa who played then off the park in the first half, they should've been at least 4-0 down. But it was 2-0 and Luton got it back to 2-2 with all the momentum in their, then Emery brings Diaby & Digne on who combine to nick all 3 points. They've given all the big sides a scare but they can't lose home games to Sheffield United and lose 4-3 at Bournemouth after being 3-0 up at HT. Luton's best hope is Everton & Forest being hit with a points deduction
