Real good video on the new trailer. Seeing the quality work on a diamond C trailer is making me think about one for myself. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
When I buy an equipment trailer, I plan to get this but 24ft and having it derated to 14k but have the 2 10k axles. Quite literally every option you have except the longest ramps and maybe a diffraction color. Love the quality of their trailers!
Aidan Park I’ve been pulling with bumper pulls for about 3 years now and I’ve never gotten pulled over, I think much of it has a lot to do with the area you live in. The cops here in the city AND 6 cities around here are super mellow about things like that.
I've been pulling a couple different trailers and at least around here, if the truck doesn't look like it's trying to take a crap like a dog, you're tied down properly marked properly, don't have anything hanging off your rig, and aren't driving like a dumbass you're good.
Wait having reflector strips means that you are over 10k??? I have a dump trailer that’s only rated for 5,000lbs and it has those reflector strips up top
I like the specs on your new trailer, I might have to put something like that together. My old '02 7k car hauler is getting outdated and i could use the increased weight capacity.
LTC trailer company in Waco Texas is great if your not near Sam’s Dealer. They have multiple locations in Texas and sell flatbeds too. I got my flatbed there. Diamond C dealer. Great people.
Cali has the worse rules man. Where im from as long as your combined rig is under 26 k amd your trailer doesn't weigh more then 10k empty, roll on son.
I swear by my pintle hitch. Yes they rattle a little but i feel so much better over using a ball. I have a 97 f350 that i haul my antique tractor around on a 89 9 ton owl equipment trl that is deckover tandem dually. Granted it scales 13k loaded it feels nicely planted. I wish i had a winch. Helped a friend haul a junk motorhome. Using a come along to load it during early covid in michigan so was trying to keep distance so i did the cranking. My arms when finished were locking up. I kept under 45 hauling it but that was cause the motorhome suspension causing a rocking that i didnt like
The reason for pintle is weight capacity. Pintle is rated up to 100k I have a 10k diamond c with the adjustable Hitch that frequently switch from to pintle cause one truck only had pintle. I love my diamond c. I've used several trailers over the years, repaired alot of new trailers. I researched long before I purchased this trailer, like you it wasn't the price that decided it was the quality and standard options that sold me. I was in a time crunch so had to buy off lot so didn't get all the options I wanted but am still very happy with my purchase
It’s nice to hear people who really use this stuff talk through their thought process. For a guy like me who would be buying one for occasional use it makes it easier to say ok I care about that too so I need to consider that or I don’t need it for that so I don’t need to think about that.
Must be Cali, red and white reflector tape is for safety not weight designation. Cali must be smokin' somethin'. If your lights fail on the sides of your trailer the reflection will be seen, not the weight you're carrying. Add some side marker lights for safety also.

Agreed, Diamond C likes to advertise Lippert as the superior axle when the rest of the world says otherwise, Dexter clearly is the better of the two axles although I don't think you will hurt 2 10k oil bath axles regardless.
I have a 20' 7k Diamond C utility trailer I use to haul my SXS. It's a great blue color, and always gets lots of comments at every ride. Its about eight years old, and still looks and works great! I am looking at upgrading to a 24' so I can haul two.
I do like the 22 foot bumper pull LPX Diamond C trailer. I'm in the market for a trailer. Not needed but wanted. Hydraulic steel well jack seems to be the way to go. I was concerned about the ramps, at first. I was originally considering a tilt deck but your rationale surely made sense. Your video answered many of my questions. I also like the drive over fenders vice the deck over but I too want the low profile trailer. Your video answered many questions I needed info about. Thanks Sam for the detailed Diamond C trailer video. Nicely done. 👍🏽🙂
Love your channel bud I'm a residential tree climber from Massachusetts dig your setup and all your stuff my question is man what are the pins for under the front strap d rings on little buddy ? Holy @$^* your next video popped up and I see a spider lift... god man you have my dream outfits
So in Missouri we run farm tags on our trucks and I can weigh as much as I want to licence to. We have four cummins and all of them have 30k plates on them. I regularly weigh 28k but its all personal and farm use. could i get away with that in cali
Pindles are big in fleets and rental companies because it’s lower liability than a actual ball hook up were a latch could be forgotten or it could look like it’s on but it isn’t. Really for noobs who don’t know how to hook up a trailer, the pindle is just more fool proof being just a big ring on a hook. I agree with you Sam, I don’t like them either.
So do we have a diamond c discount code yet? lol. I've been looking at the diamond c bumper pulls for my tractor. Your videos have been helpful and informative.
Very impressive, I'm working on a 24 footer and am looking for ideas, for example the way the tongue is built. Looks like 10 inch I beam, I really would like closer look and maybe dimensions. I have already built the framework with a 3 ft dove tail. And as I said I need some words of wisdom for the tongue. Thanks for the video
I had almost same trailer 24’ bought it in June very nice trailer . I sold it in late august and bought a 20+5 dovetail deck over Pintle by load and Trail 20k rated with duals and love it much more than that one . I hated the fenders as I was always hitting them due to having almost always to back on with my TL 10 and 76” wide mower and a bucket I would put up front . and had to weekly bend them back to shape so I went with a deckover . Also be careful with those ramps I had the ramp pin bend where the springs are attached and my machine Is only a TL 10 . So your machine weighs more . Great trailer I did love it but I am much happier with my Pintle deck Over, I bought a load and trail brand this time due to availability I would bought a Díamond C Pintle but couldn’t get one in time so far so good and it Tows Great .
jeez, we get it, your a diamond c fan boy and a hater on every other brand. that video could have been done in a shorts 1 miute video. just keepin it real my man.

Question, when using the flat deck truck, could you not use a 5th wheel and flat trailer like a semi, or is that outside regulations,,, I'm in scotland,
I just bought a 7 ton trailer very similar to that but I would much much rather have that one perhaps one day soon!! Very nice!! Absolutely perfect for my application s

Sure know what you mean about the pintel. I rent an equipment trailer now and then to move my tractor, the rental trailers are pintel and they never grease them. When I ask the yard man to grease the loop he looks at me like I'm crazy. They grind on turns and bang when you start and stop.
Sam, your videos are always excellent! Your recent trailer purchase was very well thought out. And you are just keeping a good variety of equipment on hand. And given the variety of your activities. It is very smart. And can be a safety factor for keeping you out of trouble. I have seen people hurt. Because they tried to make one trailer. Do too many things.
My local dealer has a 24' lpx spec'd out exactly like yours. I have a Tak TB260 (12k pounds). Would I be better off with 22'? Just trying to figure out the best length for my machine. Thanks, Rob
Still waiting for these trailer manufacturers to get smart and fabricate the ramps movable along one continuous bar. That way it’s possible to load equipment that might be narrower than 52” or thereabouts.
I just ordered a Diamond C trailer today! I'm very excited about it and your videos helped me make the decision. Ordered a 20k pintle to go behind my dump truck with a 30 ft deck + 5 ft dovetail, hydraulic jacks, and a couple of under mounted tool boxes. I'm very excited! Keep up the good work man!
Pintle hooks are for weight well over 21k. If you get a quality hitch they latch around that ring nice and tight and you don’t get that slop in it. Consumer grade ball/pintle combo hitches are nothing but slop and are really not meant for full time pintle work
Sam congratulations on the new Diamond C, got a question do you have Electric over hydraulic disc brakes on the other diamond C trailer and if you do do you like them ?

I don’t think you mentioned how long the deck is on your new trailer? We have the PJ version of it, but you make me want to consider switching!

The reason pintle hitches are still being used, is because there's still men that pull trailers.

They suck and they beat the snot out of your shit
Great stuff. Thanks for the info, keeping the weight down and not getting a tilt deck makes perfect sense to me.
