It was so good to see you pop up in my notifications. I know that all of your Hoyas will grow and flourish within no time at all. That Pubicalyx is absolutely stunning, and what a DEAL! Pubicalyx will probably always be my favorite Hoya.
Sorry to hear that, Shirley! Do keep us posted about how your Hoyas like pon. Semi-hydro isn’t for me, but it’s fascinating! 🤓 Thank you so much! 🥰 Good to be back!
I’m glad you are starting to replace some of the plants you’ve lost. I feel the same way after losing so many to thrips. I’m going to go check out your garden video! 🪴❤️
Thank you Sarah!! 🥰 Oof I had thrips attack an African Violet not long ago… thankfully I saw them before they could fly 😅 Pretty sure she’s in the clear, but weeks of isolation in my windowless bathroom is… showing 😳 I think the drought exacerbated our pest pressures this summer, houseplants and otherwise! I appreciate you! 💗😘
Aww thank you Perla! It does take some time, so hang in there!! 🙏 You can always try increasing their light exposure 🤷🏻♀️ to hopefully encourage growth, which can include blooms 🤞 Sorry to hear they’ve struck your lovely monstera!! 😤 Beat those little sap suckers! 🥊 I believe in you! 💚
Good too see you!! Sorry to hear about your Hoyas, hope you can save some of them. Defiantly going too check out a jewelers loop an going back an rewatch Betsy’s video. Thanks 💚💚💚
Thanks Sherry!! 💚🪴 It’s ok, we shall survive 👏 I’m determined! I even started taking the little loupe plant shopping with me… so I can check before I buy 🪴🧐lol
$25? Just guessing. I live in Australia, so that size plant for $25 would be a steal. Looking after mental health, is so important and needs to be discussed more regularly. Good on you for sharing what you could and protecting your boundaries. Meanwhile, I was only $5 off! Great buy!
Woohoo, very close! 💚🤑👏👏 I’m so jealous of the varieties I’ve seen in some Australian big box stores! 🤩 I wonder what Hoyas are difficult to find where you are, but easily attainable in the US? 🧐 I’m so curious! Thanks for the supportive words and for watching.💛 Mental health IS physical health too. Take good care!🪴
@@dreamsofhoya I'm so jealous of the plants you can buy in the States (or are you in Canada?). Unsolicited Plant Talks have the biggest and coolest plants! We don't get many hoyas at Bunnings (our box store), just carnosa - sometimes a variegated one or a tiny piece of hindu rope. It seems that we follow the hoya trends a year or so behind you, and I think you're a year or so behind Europe. We have a few hoya specialising online stores, but they are expensive and sell out of the rarer plants quickly. Oh well, we all think the grass is greener somewhere else!
@@zanyzana66 you’re right, I’m in the States 😊 I feel like 2ish years ago I would see little pots of things like Mathilde at Bunnings in PlantyAnge videos..? I was jealous! So yeah, grass always seems greener huh? 😆 There are a few local nurseries that I frequent enough to get lucky with some hoya, but a lot of my collection has come from online plant shops! I’ve never imported though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💚
Pubicalyx grow fast. I got mine 2 leaves year 2015. It grew that same size like yours in 3 years. Now I have a massive plant outdoors coz no space indoors🥴 bloom whole summer🥰. You hit jackpot for $20👍😁
Sorry, I mentioned in my last video that I’m actually debating on making my own site! My Etsy site isn’t currently open but I will post an update video soon with more info! Thanks for reaching out 💚
I had a feeling you only paid $20 because I paid $25 for mine, which is much smaller, online. Mine doesn’t have any peduncles yet, but hopefully it’ll get some. My Hoya Obovata has four peduncles and they’ve all bloomed twice. I guess it’s finished for now? It’s good to see you! I hope you’ve been well. Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴
Good instincts!! 💚🤑 Wow, congrats on your Obovata! Mine hasn’t bloomed yet so I’m not sure what their bloom cycle is like. But I accidentally knocked off this ENTIRE peduncle 😵 so thank goodness I took pics when I did 😅 lol Thank you for your ongoing support, Sharon! Hope life is being kind to you too 😘

🥰 thanks, Bridget! I sure hope you’re right! 🤞🪴 I can’t believe I knocked the whole bloom and peduncle off 😵 but so it goes lol
I've lost all my Hoya's! I'm starting over. Also I'm trying out growing them in Pon. Glad to see you back!
